Question about Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View Upright Steam Vacuum

1699 ProHeat Clear View Upright Steam Vacuum

When the clean water tank is filled and set in the proper position the water steadily dumps on the floor when i inspected under the unit you can see the white rubber diaphram approx. 3/4" in diameter exposed and you can see what i assume to be the suction line for the clean water when the handle is pulled it appears that there would have to be another part here some sort of cover or something to assist the diaphram in holding back the water from dumping out of the tank until the handle is pulled`does anyone have any photos of the bottom of the unit or know where i can get this part any thanks is much appreciated Bill

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There is a valve under the water holding tank that is probably giving you a problem and it is replaceable depending on if it is underneath the water holding tank or directly under the water tank. I am going to give you some phone #’s and websites that you can order parts from or fell free to contact your local vac dealer in your area for service and or parts.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Wear do you put the water

Inside the main tank is another container for clean water.
To fill it, lay machine all the way down. Lift handle and remove container. Take to sink, turn handle, and remove lid. Fill with hot, clean water. Replace and lock the lid. Place container back into tank and put handle down.

Bissell carpet cleaner doesn't **** up water

Turn the selector on the side from tools to floor.
Oh yea, could also be the seal is missing from between the tank and the suction nozzle. Could also be the tank is not seated correctly.

Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View uses very little soap.

The valve at the bottom of the soap tank may have gone bad, Also try running a mix of water and vinegar(not on carpet) to see if it will clean the system out. The system may just need cleaning out.
