Question about Creda Ovens

Open Question

I have a Creda electric double oven, either EDO 210 48151 or 212 48152. I found the instruction manual left by the original homeowner, but no parts list. The fan on the bottom oven (fan oven) stopped working and therefore it doesn't heat up. I can't find this model number anywhere to try and find parts. My local parts store told me I might as well throw the oven away. I don't want to do that! Does anyone know where I can purchase a new fan motor? thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Need User Manual

Hi Martin Have you had any luck with this? I too need a manual for this oven, and should be (hopfully!) receiving one from Germany in the next week or so. If you haven't had any luck, let me know and once I receive the manual I can maybe help? Regards. Louise.

SOURCE: Kenmore double oven f4 fault code - door locked.

The perfect tool for this is a locksmith's "slim jim" but for the rest of us try this: Make a small hook in a wire coathanger and slip it between the door and frame from the left and try to catch the hook in the latch mechanism. Use a small mirror for navigation. Pull just enough to release the door.

if fan inside oven starts but no heat, then the probability is that the element is open circuit and needs replacing

SOURCE: SMEG Oven won't heat up

This is late response but this fault is your fan element. You have two of them, if heating slower than usual, it is only one that has failed. When replacing one, it is recommended the other one be replaced. Tripping the circuit breaker is the symptom. These elements 2100 Watt each are anywhere between $70 to $110.

SOURCE: Neff U1721 bottom oven not heating fan & light are ok

Yes it will need a new element, if the fan runs and temperature light comes on then the element is gone.

Creda Oven Model ESO 210 broken multifunction selector knob

Same thing happened with my Creda ESO 210. The function selector works find. It just doesn't rotate the piece of plastic that has the funtion symbols on it. I contacted the authorised parts supplier in Canada and was told it would cost $90 for the part. After a long wait, the part arrived and it wasn't the correct piece (they'd ordered the little plastic circle with the function symbols on it instead of the knob thingee that moves it). So, if that cost $90, I dread to think what the broken mechanism would cost. So, I gave up and I simply count the clicks from the off position to use my oven. However, if you really want to follow up on this, you can contact www.creda.co.uk.

Creda colonial oven

If it is the external fan that is staying on as opposed to the oven fan then it is probably a faulty thermostat that controls the cooling fan.
