Check the SD card, it should have a small slide switch on the side, it should be in the up position (unlock), up meaning towards the end with the gold contacts. If it is in the down position, the card can not be written to.

How many photos on a 2gb card?

Depends on what you set each photo to be.....
I don't know THAT PARTICULAR Camera, but both my Compact Canon, and DSLR Canon, have settings where I can adjust the size of the photo from a small size, where it shows what I took to a extremely Large size that I can blow up to cover a wall and still have plenty of Pixels left over.
So the number of Photos per SD or other card can vary dramatically...... But with the settings I have, I get something like 5000 Photos per 4Gig SD, and they are of a good size.

Where is the SD card located on the Canon zr60 mini DV?

The ZR60 does not use a memory card. The manual covers several different models with slight differences; this is one of those differences. The ZR65 and ZR70 can use SD cards, but not the ZR60.

Can I use 8GB SD cards in my Canon Powershot A620 camera? I thought I once read that it will only support up to 2GB SD cards.

The A620 uses MMC and SD cards. SD cards max out at 2GB in size. Larger cards are actually SDHC or SDXC cards and will not work in the A620.

I`ve bought a 4GB memory SDHC memory card to my Canon powershot A 430 camera, and when i put it in my camera - it says memory card error. I tried to unlock it by the small button, but didin`t help. What...

The Canon A430 uses MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Number of photos

You can't get room for more than 33 pictures on a 16MB card.
I'd suggest you buy a bigger SD card for the camera.
Your camera can use up to 2GB cards.

Asking what to do?

8 GB is more than your A540 can handle. You can check with Canon, but I'm pretty sure that the max that your camera will understand is 2GB. Additionally, your 8GB card is most assuredly an SDHC card and not a standard SD card. Your A540 also does not understand SDHC format. The max card that you should buy for that model camera would be a 2GB standard SD card. These are very inexpensive these days and run about $6, shipping included:

Card Error

From what I know, and card over 2gb needs a different reader. in this case, I am guessing that the card is an SD card. If you look carefully, you will see HC right below the SD logo. these are High Capacity SD cards, totally, different from traditional SD cards. so what you need to do, is find a 4gb regular SD card (highly doubt one exists) or get a smaller regular SD card (2gb Max I think)

Memory Card Error

Check in the Manual that the camera can accept 2Gb.
If it say it can then return the card for replacement.
