Have you pulled the battery out and put it back in? That works sometimes. Since we dont know if its your charger, battery, or hardware issue, try putting in a different battery and see if that charges. If it does, then you need a new battery. If it doesnt, there are other issues. Also try a different charger.

I would like to get help with this IPAD that the battery will not charge I just got this IPAD today from the seller.

First you have to verify if the charger is working. You can't charge an iPad on an iPhone charger, not a lot of people know that. Do you see the charge symbol? The charger may be weak, check it by trying to charge the iPad on another charger perhaps belonging to a friend. If that checks out, the battery has failed. Apple charges about $130 plus tax, places in the mall charge $90. If it is a used one, they fail after about 3 or 4 years. If it is new, contact the seller. Their reviews are good

Battery doesn't hold a charge & pause, forward, back, and volume control doesn't function. What can I do?

I would first try a different (new) charging cable. If that doesn't work the Battery is likely bad.

If there is a Batteries Plus in your town, they can get a new battery installed. I say it that way because most stores send they in for repair (it's not usually done locally). Of course you can find places to send it in but you take the chance of shabby workmanship or shady repair shops. If you take it to Batteries Plus you are able to hold then responsible for any repairs.

Last option would contact Apple iPod Service Answer Center but repairs would be guaranteed.

Batteries won't charge with shore power and generator, have checked fuses. Inverter works until batteries get to low.

not knowing model number its impossible for me to determine if your inverter has a battery charger , not all do some require a external one , most charge off aux engine alternator this same engine also makes compressed air and hydraulic power for controls and steering , mid size boats use one engine for all this plus main drive , larger ones use a separate engine for these functions (safer)

iPod Symbol Meanings
The Apple iPod personal media player uses a set of symbols to communicate what's happening to the device: when it needs to be recharged or when it's experiencing problems.
Sometimes it's not obvious what these symbols mean; problems with your iPod may cause conflicting or confusing icons to be displayed.
Folder with an Exclamation Point

This suggests that your iPod can't read data stored on it.
Your iPod may simply not have enough charge in its battery to read its hard drive.
If recharging it doesn't help, you can try connecting it to your computer, then updating it with the latest version of the iPod's software.
If none of this works, you may have a dead hard drive; your iPod will need to be repaired.
Battery with an Exclamation Point
A battery with an exclamation point usually just means that your iPod needs to recharge.
Once the battery has charged up again, everything should be fine.
You can charge an iPod through a FireWire connection to a computer, but not if the computer is in sleep mode or switched off.
Third-generation iPods cannot be charged via USB 2; later iPod models can, however.
If you are having problems charging your iPod, try switching cables.
You can also try resetting the iPod by pressing Play and Select together (Menu and Play on earlier models).
If none of these methods help, your battery may need to be replaced.
Empty Battery
If the battery icon shows an empty battery, this means that your iPod is almost out of charge and needs to power up.
If you know that the iPod has been charging for a while, and the battery icon is still empty, you may need to update its software.
Older software can lead to a confused battery readout.
Wall Plug with Power Adapter
This means that your iPod needs to be plugged into an electricity supply while it updates its firmware.
You won't be able to do anything else with it until you do this.
Frowning IPod Icon with an Exclamation Point
A picture of an iPod with a sad face and x-ed out eyes plus an exclamation point indicates a very serious problem with the device.
In some cases, draining the battery completely then recharging and resetting the iPod can offer a short term solution, buying you enough time to back up your iPod's data.
The underlying problem will remain and is likely to get worse until your iPod is repaired.
Apple Logo
A brief appearance by the Apple logo when the iPod is reset or switched on is normal and nothing to worry about.
If the logo does not go away and the iPod doesn't boot up, there is a problem.
You can often resolve this by putting the ipod in Disk Mode and then restoring or updating its software; note that you will lose all data stored on the iPod if you do this.
If this doesn't work, your iPod needs specialist attention.
Do Not Disconnect
It is not safe to unplug your iPod when you see this icon. Wait till it goes away, then you can safely disconnect your iPod.
Spinning Disk Icons
The spinning disk and magnifying glass icon means that the iPod is performing a disk scan.
If you don't want to perform a scan right now you can re-set the iPod; you'll see a disk with a cross when you stop the scan.
If you would rather let the scan complete, you should connect the iPod to a power source as scanning drains the battery.
If the scan finds issues but can fix them, you'll see a disk plus an arrow.
If everything is alright, you'll see a disk plus a checkmark.
If there is a problem that the scan disk function could not fix, you'll see a disk plus an exclamation point.

My iphone battery is ok but my phone won't turn on. it is totally dead. I plug it into a charger and nothing!!

If you have plugged your iPhone into a charger for more than 10 minutes and nothing happens (meaning it won't show a screen). Then:

1. Make sure the iPhone is plugged in via the Power point (not the computers USB).

2. Make sure it is plugged in for more than 10 minutes.

The reason for this is that when the Battery Charge has run down, (extremely low),
  • it generally takes 10 minutes for the power charge to show you the display;
  • and USB power isn't enough to charge it (from this state).
  • AND, Apple will ask you how have you plugged it into the Power point, for 10 minutes.
IF YOU have done that and still nothing, then it is highly likely that your iPhone battery is dead.

The quickest way to resolve this, is to take it into an Apple Store. Their Tech people are able to (fix it - either by replacing the iPhone, or by replacing the battery).

The Apple Stores are listed on Apples website. You have to make a booking online (using your Apple ID - which you set up when you 1st connected your phone).

If you have difficulty with this, then you will need to call Apple (in your area / country) to get them to assist you.

Apples website is: - America - Australia

From either of these websites you are able to navigate to your countries website (if it is not one of these).

ALSO, view the information via the link below, prior to calling or going into an Apple Store :

I have had 2 dead iPhone battery problems. Each time, Apple replaced it on the spot, after I made a booking through their Apple Store.

Something to remember for future reference, is make sure you have backed up your iPhone (via iTunes) at least once after you have made your Contacts list. Also, make sure you download your photos from your iPhone (on a regular basis). The reason is, when you get a new iPhone, there is no-way to retrieve your data from the dead iPhone. (I have gone through this pain-staking process twice now).

If I can assist you further please let me know. Please rate. Regards,
