Check all your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and bare wires. if they all check out good, you may have a bad output ic inside of the deck.

Protect message displayed when I turned my truck on

The radio is protecting itself from a shorted wire. It could be the speaker wire itself or a bad speaker. If you disconnect the speakers one at a time, you'll find the culprit. Use an Ohm meter to test the wire. It should read 4 Ohms (give or take 2 Ohms. Anything else will cause the radio to protect itself. If the rating is low, it is probably the speaker but check the wiring too.

I have a "! Protected Card" message on my screen

Look at the memory card again. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Hxd7 protect

Don't buy a stereo that prints up 'PROTECT MODE' and then does not tell you how to cure it. This is a good way of getting people to buy a new one only live and learn do not buy the same manufacturer again. I have a nice just out of warrenty JVC that when I switch it on sits there grinning at me with 'PROTECT MODE' showing. Yes I have entered cash protect mode and decided I am not going to buy another JVC.

Protection displayed and shuts off

The protect message indicates that the output amp section has a problem. Normally this requires the replacement of the output transistors or the output amp pac. Expect the repair cost to be about $20-$60 for parts plus the local labor rate.

Nikon Coolpix 5200 Getting Message ""Memory Card is Write Protected"

Inspect your SD card carefully. Some SD cards come with a write-protect lock switch on the side of the card. When looking at an SD card from the top there is one required notch on the right side (the side with the diagonal notched corner) and on the left side there is usually a switch. This is the write-protect switch. When this write-protect switch is in the down position (away from the end that is inserted) then it is write protected and read-only. When the switch is in the up position it is write enabled.
