No because is made of one piece of material and if you weld it it going to bend duo to heat. So buy one!

How do you get a stripped screw out of my 7 1/4 circular saw?

if the head of bolt has broken off get a bolt spot welded to end of bolt in saw. I once had bolts shear off a mulcher and the repair man spot welded bolts onto what was left and unscrewed the bolts.

Can a 7 1/4" circular saw blade be used to replace

Some furniture shops used 7 1/4 circular saw blade for other brands of circular saw. Based on my experienced it's applicable as long their is clearance for the blade not touch the adjustable safety cover of the unit. Thanks for asking FixYa.

I have a DW357 circular saw. It is running backwords???

It shouldn't be for no reason...... Check that the blade is spinning over the top and down into the wood in the line of travel. Is it possible that the blade is on backwards?

Best regards, --W/D--
please feel free to rate this solution. thanks.

I burnt up a circular saw trying to cut thick plywood with a dull blade and now it arcs when trying to use it. Is it repairable? Thanks.

I would replace the brushes on the motor, that is the first cause of arcing. The armature may be worn down too. Still a pretty easy inexpensive repair.

Hi all. i have a circular saw which spins the blade ok untill th blade touches a surface. the blade then stops spinning but the motor carries on without stopping. i have removed the blade and i can touch...

If its a direct drive side mounted then the shaft has broken away from the motor. If is a worm-drive then your gears are worn. Either case, fixing it would cost more than it's worth, but more importantly, nothing is worth more than a safely operating circular saw. My suggestion is to ditch it and buy a new one as an insurance policy.

Not cutting in straight line

Normally blade overheating. Improper blade or too few teeth for material, teeth not sharp and/or offset enough for proper width of cut. Teeth must cut wider than blade. Inexpensive blades tend to do this quickly. Other possibility: Bad bearing, check for play with saw unplugged. Blade should have little wobble. Other possibility: Saw body cracked/damaged(allowing shaft to skew) or very cheap saw unable to handle material

In the past I have clamped a pair of vice grips on the old blade so I could remove the bolt from the arbor.
