Question about Pegasus Technologies Plumbing

Open Question

My Pegasus Model FTV-100-01-15 leaks water from the very top of the unit just inside the lever assembly and has a constant (small) stream which floods my counter area. It started slowly and has increased with time. I suppose that the plastic round plug should be removed to make adjustments but I can not figure out how to get it off. How can I access the problem and what do I adjust to stop the leak? Thanks

SOURCE: Leaking Kitchen Tap

yes your right it's the seal inside and it can be replaced you should shut the water off after all why make a mess when you don't have to. however I'm not familiar with this typ of faucet. you more than likely be able to get help from your local area hardware store when you purchase your gasket for replacement.

SOURCE: Repair cartridge in Moen Monticello single handle lavatory faucet

After some additional experimenting, contrary to information I was previously able to gather, I discovered that the white plastic retainer doesn't (in this type of Moen faucet) actually screw off but rather is held in place by a spring clip inserted from the rear of the retainer (toward the wall side of the basing). Simply sticking a small screwdriver in the opening (approx. 45 degrees downward) and tipping the screwdriver toward the front of the faucet, snaps the spring clip out through the opening.
The plastic retainer than lifts off. Note: the flat sides on the retainer suggest that a wrench will be needed but such is not the case.

SOURCE: leaking single lever kitchen tap

on most of the single handle faucets there is an erasure like button ( may have a hot and cold blue and red indicator or be silver ) usually located right under the faucet arm on the manifold chrome sleeve or back behind the arm or it could have a large ring nut over the doam of the lever take your hand and feel the area that covers the area where the spout arm swivels and feel for the button or take your fingers and fel the to of the lever doam

if you find the button just take a sharp screw driver( be sure to plug the drain holes and turn hot and cold water off under sink) pry the button off and use a hex wrench and loosten

if no button then there has to be a large nut on top you may seee two grooves oppsoite each other wheich would mean a special tool

use an adjustable wrench (put cloth ofer chrome to protect and turn counter clock wise( the ring nut will not be very thick

after removing you should be able to replace the cartridge

good luck

How do I adjust water temperature on a Pegasus shower head?

Adjustment is usually on the valve assembly. Take off the big round trim ring and you will find the adjustment on the valve assembly or in the valve stem.

Not flushing, bowl will not fill up with water

Hi rjhfp

Check inside of the tank to make sure the connector from the handle of the flusher to the "flapper valve" is connected, to do this you have to remove the tank lid.
If it is connected then you have a different problem.
Sounds like you have trash in the valve inside of the "ballcock assembly"
The ballcock assembly is the part that lets the water into the tank, and the "flapper valve" is the part that allows the water to flush into the bowl...
Replace you ballcock assembly and it will solve your problems.

My Pegasus kitchen faucet leaks at the top, even when off. I'm not sure which model, it has one handle with a side spray. What do I do.

Turn off water supply to sink. Wrap top of goose neck with rag and use a pipe wrench to remove ( lefty loosey, righty tighty). Inspect interior of faucet for worn o - ring or gasket and take damaged part to local hardware store for replacement parts. The gasket or o - ring may be on the gooseneck ( the part the water comes out of between the handles or below a single handle faucet).
Good luck!!

Sounds like you nailed it, the Tub Seal.
It can be a stream or an ocean, either way maytags do leak from that seal pretty often. Removal of the tub is your only option. The price is up to the tech, but this type of repair is considered to be a major fix, and is usually done in a shop.
