Me too! I have a Canon Powershot A70, and am getting some pink images or missing images with white lines running across the view finder. Thanks for the post. I'll contact Canon.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Within the last few days, suddenly when I take a picture a picture there is a little red eye that is flashing on the left hand of the screen and the little green light at the top is flashing also and there...

It sounds to me that the timer is on. That would certainly explain the blinking lights and the 15 second delay. There should be a button with what looks like a small clock on it to turn this feature on and off. You should also be able to find it in your settings menu.

As for the reddish tint, make sure that your white balance is set to auto. Scroll through your menu till you find white balance.

Hope this helps!

My sister took my camera out with her to a convention, then when I was about to take a picture last night, the screen was strongly tinted bright pink and when I take a picture, it's tinted green and pink....

If the camera was exposed to very bright light it is possible to have the CCD/imager damaged , There can be a resetting, remove battery off for few hours and set.
If the fault stays it will be better to seek an opinion than to open the camera.

Pink hue to all photographs taken on screen and print

You may just have the white level set wrong or the camera in the wrong mode than what you are epecting.
You should be able to reset or set that from the setup menu.

My kodak easyshare M753 has pink tint and lines

its obvious a malfunction that didn't occur by bad handling ..and if the device it is still in the warranty period , my advice is to go for it if you never open it or other things that you wouldn't suppose to do

Poor quality pictures

Check your picture settings, the wrong setting for the time of day or object can definetly throw off the appearance of your pictures. Plus, you may have accidentally set it to "warm" instead of auto or black and white, etc. Warm pictures have a reddish tint to them just as the cool have a blue tint. Also I have found the "night setting" only takes really good pictures if you are close to the subject otherwise it is pretty dark!

a pink tint CAN be removed in Photoshop or picasa.

Check the settings in your camera. it could be set to "sepia" under effects.

Pink tint when shhoting in bright sunlight

Sane problem with C713, the view screen is dark and gives focus warning, then the pics come out with a pink tint. I believe it is the sensor or shutter problem. Can't get any solutions either.

CCD sensor faulty ( sits behind the lens inside and this device converts light into image ) . If the camera has not been abused the repair ought to be done free of charge because properly manufactured CCD or CMOS unit should last 15 years !
