The difference between the two would be negligible. The set-up menu shows you the various MP settings available to you.

Keeping your Sega CD from Short-Circuting and fix it if it does

Sega/Mega CDs are fragile systems and one power surge will kill them but you can stop it
  1. Invest in a surge protector it will easily protect your console from most surges
  2. Unplug your Sega CD when not using it this will completely stop any risk of it becoming damaged.
Repairing it is a bit of an undertakingThis Requires Soldering skills and a basic knowledge of electronic components.
This is a more "unique" fix, I have not seen this anywhere on net before. It took a few hours to find this on my Mega CD 2... But should relate to all "newer" Sega hardware. They are not in the MD 1 or SMS 1 as far as I have seen.
This info applies to the PAL (AU - EUROPE) and NTSC (USA). (And possibly most other versions as well)
The internal fuse is a resistor like component that sits at the back of the Mega CD 2 near were the switch is to sense if the CD lid is open.
On this board the fuse is located on the soldering side, labelled "F301", and is rated at 2.5A. It is beige in colour( US Mega CD 2) OR Bright Green ( PAL Mega CD 2).
All you have to do is use a fuse holder with wire fly leads. Solder one of the leads to either end of the PCB were the legs of the internal fuse are.
firehand94.jpgPicture of a M205 in-line fuse holder with fly leads. (You can use 3AG size fuse holder.. they are just larger.. Which makes it harder to fit in the case.)
Pop in a 850mA fuse (AU PAL Mega CD 2) Will be higher around 1-1.5 A for the MD 2 or SMS 2. (don't exceed 2A).

1. Open Mega CD II, Remove the screws (5) that hold down the metal shield (Red Arrows). Also there are 2 metal "tags" that hook under the slot were the MD connects to the Mega CD (Blue Arrows). These need to be bent back so the shield can be lifted up.

2. The shield has been removed. The fuse is located in the red circle area.

3. View from the left hand side.

4. Close up of the fuse marked "F301"

There are a few versions of Mega CDs and Megadrives that don't use the fusible resistor like the one in the picture above. Instead underneath the PCB in about the same location is a white rectangle surface mounted fuse. Should have like X.X A on it. To fix this... you do the same thing.. But solder each end of the fuse holder to each side of the surface mount fuse. I think it is still labelled "F301" though. Below is a picture of it...

I have olympus camedia 4.0 mega pixel. old camera. need to know how to change the camera photo storage from 18 photos to at least 64 photos storage

Hi, jamesepatton, and welcome to FixYa.
I am going to assume that you are referring to the camera's internal storage, as opposed to the camera's removable storage card.
Obviously, to increase the storage on a removable card, one need only purchase another, higher capacity storage card.
To change the camera's internal storage capacity, one needs to reduce the resolution of the pictures one takes.
Example- your Olympus is capable of taking a 4.0 mega pixel sized picture. This size picture can generate a fairly large data file (after all, pictures- like Word documents- are only data files!) While this is what is normally programmed into the camera at the factory, you are not 'married' to this size. In the "Setting" menu of the camera, there will be an option to change the mega pixel (mp) setting. Try lowering it to the next lower setting (say, 3.0 mp) and shoot until the camera tells you it's full. You may have to try several different mp setting, but eventually you'll land on the right one. It's going to depend a lot on what is in your pictures as well, as different scenes and content can affect file size.
A quick note here: Lowering the mp setting will affect the quality (and/or resolution) of the photo. I have found that for a great majority of the photos that I personally take, a 2.0 mp setting is just fine. I am by no means shooting magazine covers or entering my pictures in contests, I shoot 'em, print 'em and save 'em. Just your basic home pictures.
If resolution/quality is important, I would highly recommend that you save ALL pictures to a removable memory card and leave the camera set on 4.0 mp.
Good luck, and let us know how you go!

I have 5gb free on my modem .how much kb or mb is one gb

First, the modem is not the computer. It's what connects the computer to your Internet Service Provider. You're asking how much free space is on your hard drive, which is the storage device in the computer. It's like a filing cabinet where programs and data are stored until you tell the computer to run them.

The basic storage unit is the byte, which you can imagine as storing one character. The prefixes kilo-, mega- and giga- are from the metric system:

1 kilobyte (KB) = 1000 bytes (It's actually 1024 bytes because computers work in powers of two)
1 megabyte (MB) = 1000 KB
1 gigabyte (GB) = 1000 MB

So if your drive has 5GB free, there is about 5000 megabytes left to work with, roughly 5,000,000,000 bytes.
