usually the only parts you can get is either the glass or module. even from a salvage yard. So knowing this look to replace the whole module. it can be expensive. the headliner must be dropped, wires disconnected drain tubes, and bolts removed. once new is installed it must be synced.

SOURCE: Frigidaire dishwasher door squeaks when opened and closed

I had the same problem and this worked like a charm:

All you'll have to do is take off the kick plate, actually remove the cords, and lubricate with soap (lower tech than spray silicon, but it's worked so far...)

Hi my dishwasher is only washing sporadically and is emitting a really bad burning rubber smell - what could be causing this

The drain solenoid fails on some models of dishwasher (especially Hotpoint) and produces
a stuck drain valve and a smell of burning plastic. You can look beneath the dishwasher
and with the breaker off to the units and
see if the pie shaped control lever moves freely. It is attached
to a shiny metal shaft. This is part of the solenoid. It should move freely.
If not, then it has failed and will leave the contol valve stuck in one position.

Secure power and remove the C shaped clip, and the two
phillips head screws. The solenoid assembly should slide towards you and the
pie shaped plastic piece should slide off. It costs about 40 dollars usually.
You will need the model and serial number off the inside of the door to get the new
one. Check online for a better price. Hope this helps.

NOISY fisher paykel DD603 motor Problem. pulled the impeller, center ring and outer ring and discovered there was wear on the bottom spindles. do I need a new motor assembly?

It depends on how bad the wear is. You can trim the roughness off the impellor with a craft knife. Also check the stator impellor housing for damage as well and try to flatten or scrape off any bits of roughness where it shouldnt be. Make sure the motor impellor is pressed firmly together before re-fitting to the stator.

Hope this helps

Impeller replacement

The spacer plate (called a wear ring) should indeed be installed between the front plate and the impellor. The wear ring should be installed the correct way around, with the flat face against the front plate. Assuming that you're fitting the front plate correctly each time (it only fits on one way) there shouldn't be any issues. I can only assume that you have either fitted the incorrect impellor or it hasn't been tightened fully onto the motor shaft.

Hope this helps,
Ian Kime.

It has standing water in it and will not drain or run a new cycle

Mine does this from time to time. If you have your manual, take a look at how to clean out the drain. If not, carefully turn the traps on the bottom, lift out the rectangular screen and the two plastic traps one at a time. Bail out your dishwasher and drain as far as you can, using a spoon, ladle or measuring cup to drain the trap. Once you have done that, there should be a small semi circle of plastic tubing on the bottom left. Pull that out carefully. Reach back and dislodge anything in the plastic rotary piece you can feel behind that with your fingers. Take out any food remants, etc. that might be blocking the drain. Put back to gether and see if it drains. I've had to do this about 8 times over the last 2 years with mine but it always works afterwards. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it continues to work!

Dishwasher makes a high pitch whine when it runs

instead of motor check out the motor impeller that can make the high pitched noise if rusted or cracked. ------------- Motor and pump assembly screw and impellor help....
One of the most common question that I get on a dishwasher repair is "how does that motor and pump impellor screw come out?"
Inside many dishwasher pump assemblies is a screw that goes through the upper impellor and screws directly into the motor shaft. Since the motor shaft and screw are made of guessed it...they can / will rust. The screw can rust and become very tight and difficult to remove!! These screws are normally a right ( regular ) hand thread, socket or nut driver can be used to remove the screw. One hard thing to do is to hold the impellor still so the screw can be removed, they often just turn together. The impellor may be jammed with a screwdriver to hold it still so the screw can be removed...sometimes the impellor can be help still by placing a rag on it and hold tight with your hand, the rag will help prevent a sharp edge on the impellor from cutting your fingers. The odd time that screw is too rusted into place, soaking a little rust buster or 3in1 oil on it over night may help loosen it. Sometimes trying to tighten the screw a little at first will help break it free. There are some tool ( see below ) that can be purchased to help hold the impellor still so the screw can be removed, these are only for a few models and pump assembly styles.
WLP seal tool helps center and install the pump seal
Frigidaire seal - impellor remover and install tool
Once the screw is removed, the next obstacle is the impellor can also get stuck onto the motor shaft. Many times I have to break off the old impellor. A sharp blow straight down with a hammer and flat screwdriver will often crack the plastic impellor...careful not to damage the pump body! If the motor shaft has indeed rusted, clean it up really good with sand cloth.

Broken rollers inside top rack slides

We got rollers recently from Johnstone Supply, 501 Third Avenue, South, Nashville, TN telephone 615-259-3440 or 254-0702. I don't know the cost, but I'm pretty sure it was not $72. I suggest that you have the model #.
I am planning to buy some for another dishwasher at the moment.

Need to install a new top spinner on the roof of our dishwasher

the medium sized plastic piece slides into the spinner and you put it upto the manifold. you have to remove the manifold so that you can push the smaller piece of plastic through the top of the manifold into the medium sized piece which would be holding the spinner up.
