This method was for 8500/8550, but we have a 8560mfp and it worked for us (with some slight modifications...). Skip step #1 and do this instead to get to the Diagnostic Menu

Click the "System" button. Select "Information", then "Troubleshooting" then "Service Tools", and finally "Enter Diagnostic Mode".

"OK" below means the check mark button on our printer.

"This may include: Low ink error, add ink error or 09,035. Error codes and more.

1) Press and hold the red button (info button) and the "OK" button simultaneously. This should take you into the Service Tools menu.
2) When in the Service Tools menu, scroll down to the "Enter Diagnostics" menu. Select the "OK" button. It will go through some cycling at this time for about 2 minutes. The screen may go blank a few times too.
3) It then asks for a confirmation, select "ok" again. The printer will go through a minute of rebooting. The screen may go blank a few times too. You are waiting for the diagnostic menu with the Test #00 "no test selected"
4) At this point hit the down arrow button until you reach the test #76. Select "OK"
5) It will ask for a confirmation. Select "OK" to confirm.
6) Then hit the down arrow button again and select the next test #75. Select "OK"
7) It will ask for a confirmation. Select "OK" to confirm.
8) Then hit the up arrow until you go over test 100 to test 01. "Exit diagnostics."Select "OK".
9) It will ask for a confirmation. Select "OK" to confirm.
10) At this time the printer will again reboot for several minutes

I have just had my cartridges refilled and now have reinserted them in printer but it keeps saying remove and check colour cartridge (which i have done lots and lots of times), help please

Ink cartridge contains Ink tank, electrical circuit & print nozzles.
Adding ink to ink tank is called refilling, if any fault in circuit/nozzles will indicates the cartridge error.. Before refilling check cartridge health condition.
In your case its sure that cartridge faulty, go for new one..

Hi my hp printer keeps say 3 on the screen and it says it out of ink but on the computer it shows us that we have enough please can you help thank you from Natasha.

Try unplugging the printer power from the wall for a good 90 seconds. Then replug it in. If it still shows needing new ink, try opening the cover to the printer, removing the current ink cartridge, then shutting the lid. Turn off the printer from the power cord again. Then plug it back in, turn it on, re-open the lid, and put back in the same ink cartridge. If it still has the problem and you are sure there is enough ink in the cartridge it sounds like the printer sensor has an issue.

R1900 adds blue-green tint to my photo prints

Epson doesn't like Generic Cartridges.

Hello, In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, etc. These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

Do the following, let me know if it clears or not:
  1. Press the On button to turn the printer off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Remove all the ink cartridges.
  4. Wait two minutes.
  5. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  6. Press the On button to turn the printer on.
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Hi Guys
I had the same problem with all lights flashing nothing working, happened after a panic power shut down. As with peter after the paper button was released, printer lit up like a christmas tree again. I played around with the button combinations and found that holding down the ink button instead of the flashing paper button cleared the problem. Great tip guys saved me a lot of money. cheers me dears clive.
