We have had the exact same problem as all the others. We bought the TV 2005 through SHOPNBC and it went out in March of 2007. We have been calling Protron for the last year and getting the same runaround as those above mentioned - call back in 2 weeks. The last conversation we had with Protron last week the rep said that maybe we could check with Sears or Radio Shack to find the adaptor. Neither of these companies had anything sufficient. I'm no longer interested in the TV, I just want my money back. I will be contacting my lawyer tomorrow, but if a class action suit exists then sign me up. These "crooked crooks" need to pay up!
I had a power supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It's been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!! If anyone is interested his email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

If the tv it is flat and tv LCD screen design than it is digital ready. It well be able to pickup free DTV air broadcasting from tv channels stations. If tv it have a big back and bulky design like it have CRT-tv tube.It well not pickup tv broadcasting in tv digital channels, all tv channels went digital on 2006.
I can suggest you to bring this to any TV repair center near you because I believe they repair any brands like in my place sicen this unit of yours is just a generic type of a television set and ShopNBC only has a limited 1 year warranty for this and this one really has alot of problem and complaints from other user...
The codes for the 32' Protron are 1004 or 1011. However be aware that this may disable your defaults permanently. When we had the cable installed they changed the codes but on doing so, the TV was useless. On power up the led will go from red to green, then go back to red instead of giving a source option. Customer service is agravating and useless; this is Chinese company that is using the name ProtRon to ride on the better make of Proton. We bought it through ShopNBC, definitely a big mistake since they are of no help either. We have taken the TV to a repair shop; they say its a main board but they are having extreme difficulty getting help from Protron; only delays and excuses. There are more issues riding on all this that has prompted my wife and I to seek a class action.
I read on another website that Protron will never provide replacement parts for the remote or AC adaptor. I have had my 32" LCD for just over two years and today it decided to die. Up until today, it has been a great TV, but I won't buy a "no name" tv again.
