My question is , i have 4 Argus LCM PLUS PATIENT MO NITER AND THE PROBLEM IS DOESN'T WORK IN ALTERNATIVE VOLTAGE,IT IS ONLY WORK BY BATTERY after a weak the battery is low in the display.. PLEAS ADVICE ME. LOOKING FORWARD WONDWOSEN

There are two supply systems are in your machines. One is for charging the battery, and other is for bypass AC power converted to Dc ; when AC power is present. That is when AC power is present, your machine will work on that power, and charge the battery simoultaneously. When AC power is inturupted, it will automaticaly change over to battery power. But the power consumtion of your machine is high. Therefore battery power will get downed soon. Battery is placed inside the machne only for urgent power faulure use. Not for continous use. Both the power supplies are SMPS [Switched Mode Power Supply] types. We can't prophet the reason for its failure. We are repairing such machens here. Now your machines battery charging circuit is ok. AC power bypass is faulty.

Can't find alternator relay in 2004 Kia Spectra


There is no alternator relay . You more then likely have a resistance problem in the wiring for the alternator . Or bad ground . Check out this video on voltage drop testing . Voltage Drop Testing the Charging System Plus check battery cable connections .

Right low beam headlight does not come on but my right turn signal will stay even tho i diddnt turn it on. If I cut on my high beams the rurn signal cuts off. Whats wrong? Helo


It could be the lamp control module !
Headlamps
Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times to the lamp control module (LCM) through the underhood fuse block HDLP fuse.
When you place the headlamp switch in the HEAD position, the headlamps input to the LCM is grounded. The LCM then applies battery positive voltage (B+) through the underhood fuse block HDLOBML fuse and HDLOBMR fuse, which feed the left low beam headlamp and the right low beam headlamp respectively. When you activate the headlamp dimmer switch by pulling on the multifunction lever until the switch clicks, the high beam input circuit to the LCM in grounded . The LCM then removes battery positive voltage (B+) from the low beam headlamps and supplies battery positive voltage (B+) through the underhood fuse block HDHIBML fuse and HDHIBMR fuse, which feed the left high beam headlamp and the right high beam headlamp respectively.
Check this fuse in the left under hood fuse box first. HDLOBMR Fuse 18 10 Amp. RH Low Beam Headlamp . If the fuse is good check for B+ voltage with the low beams on . Use a test light or volt meter . If you look on top of fuse there are two metal tabs ,check there for B+ voltage , If no B+ voltage the LCM - lamp control module isn't supplying any .

Replace dimmer switch


The headlamps ( high an low ) are controlled by the LCM lamp control module .
Headlamp Dimmer Switch
Under the left side of the IP, on the base of the steering column

Headlights Circuit Description (Buick)
Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times to the lamp control module (LCM) through the LH underhood fuse block LCM/HDLP circuit breaker via CKT 242 (RED). When the headlamp switch is placed in the ON position, the headlamp switch input to the LCM is grounded via CKT 103 (WHT). The LCM then supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 12 (TAN) to the following components:
• Left low beam headlamp
• Right low beam headlamp
When the headlamp dimmer switch is placed in the HIGH position, the LCM removes battery positive voltage (B+) from the low beam headlamps. The LCM supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 11 (LT GRN) to the following components:
• Left high beam headlamp
• Right high beam headlamp
The LCM provides battery positive voltage (B+) to the appropriate headlamps under the following conditions:
• The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
• The ambient light sensor indicates darkness.
The lamp control module (LCM) monitors the ambient light conditions through the ambient light sensor. The ambient light sensor is a variable resistor whose resistance changes as the surrounding ambient light level changes. As the ambient light decreases, the resistance of the ambient light sensor increases. The LCM measures the resistance across the ambient light sensor and determines whether it is day or night.

It's probably the lighting control module , but without doing some electrical testing that is just a guess !
Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times to the lamp control module (LCM) through the underhood junction block HDLP MaxiFuse® and CKT 1242 (RED).
When you place the headlamp switch in the HEAD position, the headlamps input to the LCM is grounded. The LCM then applies battery positive voltage (B+) through the underhood junction block HDLOBML fuse and HDLOBMR fuse, which feed the left low beam headlamp and the right low beam headlamp respectively. When you activate the headlamp dimmer switch by pulling on the multifunction lever until the switch clicks, CKT 524 (PPL) is grounded to the LCM. The LCM then removes battery positive voltage (B+) from the low beam headlamps and supplies battery positive voltage (B+) through the underhood junction block HDHIBML fuse and HDHIBMR fuse, which feed the left high beam headlamp and the right high beam headlamp respectively.

Twilight Sentinel Circuit Description
Twilight sentinel determines whether the daytime running lamps (DRL), or the exterior lamps and the low beam headlamps at full intensity should be on based upon the signal of the ambient light sensor. When the ambient light sensor detects daytime, the twilight sentinel turns on the DRL. When the ambient light sensor detects darkness, the twilight sentinel turns on the exterior lamps and the low beam headlamps at full intensity. The twilight sentinel also keeps the lamps on for a delay period of 3 to 180 seconds under the following conditions:
• The vehicle is in PARK.
• The ambient light sensor detects darkness.
• The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
You may turn off the twilight sentinel manually. When it is dark and the gear selector is in PARK, pushing the twilight sentinel switch to OFF will turn off the headlamps and exterior lamps. Pushing the twilight sentinel switch to OFF again will turn on the headlamps and the exterior lamps. If the gear selector is not in PARK, pushing the twilight sentinel switch will have no effect.
The F- switch is just an input from the LCM - lamp control module .
Do you know how to test control module inputs an outputs ? Very easy to fry a module if you don't know how to do it .
Also have a full scan of all modules on the vehicle , could have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored . Not for the OBD 2 engine computer . The instrument cluster , BCM , LCM can all set codes too, related to lighting an someother thing's .

Click the search button then the blue link . The first diagram you will see at the top the power supply to the LCM , down a little you will see the headlamp switch , ambient light sensor . Now if you want to start replacing thing's without testing good luck !

Battery tested no good, replaced it, next day battery wont start car, noticed blown fuse at postive terminal, replaced it, jump started car, working fine ...... Question, will that fuse prevent battery...


the fuse must be 'intact' for electrical system to operate properly.batteries are rated in months as far as longevity is concerned,36 mo. 60 mo. etc. if you have or have access to a volt meter,battery voltage should be 12 volts with engine off,13 to 15 volts w/ engine running indicates alternator is working.

ok the problem is that you kniow the thinki tha sayys + and - in there that litle metal can cause the problem or some wire maybe disconected.

it may be the very expensive lighting control module. $250 from tascafordparts.com.

It is under the dash just above the brake pedal behind the sound panel.

A15 CHECK DIMMER SWITCH OPERATION
  • Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, check for voltage to Circuit 1036 (BR/W) from headlamp switch.
  • Operate dimmer switch to LOW setting.
  • Operate dimmer switch to HI setting.
  • Using a voltmeter, check for voltage to Circuit 1035 (O/R) from headlamp switch.
  • Is voltage present on both circuits?

  • Is voltage present alternately at both circuits?
