Hi, erratic operation on some keys only could be an indicator of wear due to normal use, remote controls are not repairable, I suggest contacting your dish service provider to get a replacement remote, I am sure that they will ship one upon your request, at the time of your call they will probably require that you give them some information on the remote itself(usually numbers and letters) so have your remote near when you call.

How do you scan, skip FWD

This can be done if the remote has the buttons for that or for that matter the unit itself--no buttons and you will not have that function.

The sound work intermittenly. Is there a fix

Hi janet82with the sound working intermittently there are some things we can do goingthrough the menus. The first thing you will want to do is press the buttons ofMENU-6-1-1 on the remote. Then you will want to press the Check Switch and theTest buttons. After the test has completed you will exit out of all menus andallow the receiver to reset and acquire the signal and after the guidedownloads the intermittent signal will be cleared up.

Select & skip forward buttons no longer work on the #2 UHF remote

THis solution depends on your ability to do it yourself.
If you are brave enough you can disassemble your remote and dust the black blisterpads with graphite powder being careful to blow off any residue before reattaching. This will add some life to that old remote, but eventually all things must be replaced. Graphite powder can usually be found at most office supply houses and some Schools. It is usually used to lubricate slide rules.

I put new batteries in and found the code that coincides with my tv. The satellite mode button works fine,(I can get on "guide" and turn the channels) but the tv mode button is not allowing me to turn up...

This is due to the code in the book that is programable to the remote not being the same as your TV's. This is due to manufacter dates of the remotes versus the TVs. You could get a 20.0 remote which is the newest and a learnable remote from dish to serve this purpose.

Thanks for using Fix Ya.
