Rocaafella 7, I want you to visit a very old blog on the net to see if you think problem is same as your monitor. http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-display-blackout-solution/ Try connecting 1907 to a "known good" pc with win-desktop being displayed. Is monitor screen still black or blank n black? Reply back with more info. 12fixlouie

What is a 'Dry Test?'
A 'Dry Test,' is securing all connections and testing functionality before applying adhesives. This saves time, money and prevents additional damage to the product.
Static Removal
This process prevents current from reaching the rest of your device. Removing the battery for a minimum of 5 minutes will eliminate the charge within the cell.

The differences between original LCD and Grade A+ LCD and Grade B LCD:

The LCD is made up of the front glass lens and OCA and back light and polarized light and digitizer assembly.

The original LCD:every part of the LCD have not been replaced. It will work perfectly as long as you do not want your cell phone any more. And the original LCD show high resolution image and multicolored and bright color.
The grade A+ LCD:the front glass lens or back light have been replaced. It also will work perfectly. But it is not original.Do you want a imperfect one?
The grade B LCD:the most of all LCD in the Amazon is Edgardo B.There are some little dots in the LCD but would not affect the LCD work normally and it is hard to see the dots. But the grade B LCD maybe can only work 1-2 years. And there are many Doubleday when you install it or in the daily work.

Vaio LCD problem

Periods.......Nice little items because they denote the End of a sentence.
See how this works?

"I have a vgn cs36gj, I was working with it, suddenly the LCD became pale black, I connected it to external monitor and it has a picture, sometimes after turning on for 30 minutes LCD start working normally, but after turning off and disconnecting power when I turn it on, it only shows a pale black picture, you know it is on but only black!"

Now you try it.........

"I have a vgn cs36gj. I was working with it, suddenly the LCD became pale black.
I connected it to external monitor and it has a picture."

Okay, I got that part.........

"sometimes after turning on for 30 minutes LCD start working normally, but after turning off and disconnecting power when I turn it on, it only shows a pale black picture, you know it is on but only black!"

WHICH LCD?
Laptop LCD?
External monitor LCD?
Man on the moon LCD?

1) If the external monitor LCD goes 'pale black', the problem is the graphics chipset.
This I do not believe

2) If the laptop LCD goes pale black, this I believe.

Post back in a Comment.

Lcd light

More than likely you will need to replace the LCD screen. The backlight may have burned out making it blank.

A new LCD screen runs about 15 dollars shipped from ebay2.gif.

The W580i LCD screen is very easy to replace. Probably one of the easiest I have ever done.

Check out the following link for instructions on replacing the LCD display and links to buy the screen.

ViewSonic LCD (VA1912w) Went Blank

ViewSonic LCD (VA1912w) Went Blank

I am using this great LCD for about an year. But few times in the past my LCD didnt show up the display though the Green light was still ON, turning off the LCD and opening it again always solved the problem. But now My LCD completely went blank. Turning off/on didnt work at all now. I've tried couple of other tweaks mentioned on this site but they didnt work. I am just seeing a blank screen with green light ON. and ya theres a very low hissing sound coming from the LCD.

Half my laptop lcd has gone out

Hi

The inverter board regulates the power to the LCD backlight, it doesn't affect the display, just the light.

From my experience I would say that either your LCD cable is damaged or maybe partially unplugged, or the LCD itself is damaged.

The first step would be to unplug the LCD ribbon cable and then plug it back in making sure that it is properly aligned and well seated. Does the LCD now work? If not, try getting another cable off... you know, that auction website (I don't give them free ads) and see if that works.

If it's not the cable then you can be pretty sure that it's the LCD as you have already said that it works on an external monitor so it's not the video card.

Hope this helps.

LCD Display not working, everything else is

If microwave works even if lcd is out then a 100% that the microprocessor is working. Try to check the lcd driver for any loose connections, the bus cable linking the board to the lcd disply for any breaks or try replacing the lcd itself.
