HI. Quick question, before we move further. Dose the compressor cycle, in intervals? Are the evaporator, and condenser fans operational?

Sub zero 700br shuts down

If this machine takes to much time to get to temp. Or doesn't shut off once it reaches the right temp then the board will sense a problem and shuts it down. It could definitely be a thermistor causing the problem. I work on tons of these machines. Onetime I fixed a customers machine that had a leak in the sealed system. I fixed and charged it with freon it was working perfect when I was there. The next day customer called the machine was off I went there couldn't find any problems. Restarted it same thing next morning it was off. Long story short the man had it so filled that it was taking to long to get to the right temp it was shutting down. So the next time it shut off I showed the customer how to restart it before it lost temp. Never had anymore problems.

My sub zero 642 just starting making a humming

It is your evaporator fan. When the door opens power is cut to the fan motor.

New 700BR freezes everything in it. Worked ok for

Sounds like a stuck thermostat, you can try to tap it and this may "unstick" it, or you would need to replace it.

Sub-Zero 532 not cooling

Simple think I guess - just pull down a little a plastic fan blade on motor shift it will produce a powerful air flow. Fan blade should sit pretty close to the shift end. ;)
