tried each and every option available in the phone, still it is not working. Phone has very low reception almost nothing even in the zones where other phones gives good reception with same simcard. Kindly let me know if there is any other option to solve this problem....tried each and every option available in the phone, still it is not working. I suspect there is either a problem with the radio (AM side) or most likely it is a matter of poor AM signal strength where you are and/or high levels of interference.
With FM reception the wire lead of the earphones acts as a fairly efficient antenna but AM reception is via the internal ferrite rod aerial that also is part of the tuned circuit and consequently is not only highly directional but is sensitive to vertical/horizontal orientation - if the signal is polarised vertical the antenna is more efficient when it too is vertical, unfortunately horizontal polarisation is more common.
Development of AM receivers stopped decades ago due to it falling out of favour because of high levels of interference around population centres causing much dissatisfaction and a move to FM and over the last two decades an increased interest in digital radio.
You would have to replace the catylitic converter(s) if efficiency is low. In some cases the rear o2 sensors become lazy and can set these codes. You can replace these sensors and see if the codes will go away. In most cases, when converter replacement is required, these sensors are recommended. I would change the rear o2 sensor(s) and hope for the best. Converters are very expensive
Make sure that the signal reception is good & try to increase the in-call volume , if that does not help, its time to send the cellphone back to service center.....
You cannot adjust the voltage output. All generators are rated for 110-125 volt recepticals and usually have at least one 220-240 volt receptical for special appliances that require it such as water heaters, pumps, welders, air conditioners. When one of these higher draw appliances is connected and they begin to draw amperage, the gas engine will automatically increase rpm to produce enough amps. If your generator gauge is showing low voltage such as 60,80 or 90volts for example, then you have overloaded the generator and blown a capacitor, resistor or similar item.
these are some codes that you can try to improve reception capability of your phone
on your phone's homescreen enter #3370# to enhance the full rate codec of your phone. it will increase signal strength and better signal reception. But the battery will drain faster
to deactivate it enter #3370* the phone will restart (turn off and on) and it will increase battery life but it will receive less signal from the network
make sure also that you are not covering the signal receiver on your phone
you may want to try this: #3370# - Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow. Phone battery will drain faster though. for the headset volume, if your headset is the type that has volume controls or, check the side panel of your phone, try pressing arrow up to increase volume, arrow down to decrease, or go to the settings of your phone, look for headphones then volume
*#3370# - Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow. Phone battery will drain faster though. *#3370* - (EFR) deactivation. Phone will automatically restart. Increase battery life by 30% because phone receives less signal from network.
2)there might be the problem with service provider try to change your service provider and check it out.
i have the same phone and carrier. mine is at full bars all the time. i did call t-mobile and the sent it codes to get the MMS and internet working properly. this might be the reason for my reception. it won't hurt to call them so they can configure your phone to t-mobile service.
good luck
Limited service, is when your not getting any reception, Samsungs usually always get low reception or no reception at all if the battery is low or dying... Remove the sim card, reinsert it into the handset, charge the phone and try again...
If it still doesnt work and the sim card does work in other handsets, its still covered under the Samsung warranty if its less than 12 months old.
