Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I have a sony ccd-trv64e pal camcorder, not used for many years, but kept in it's camera case.Attached it to it's AC>dc convertor but green light shows only for a moment on the convertor then fades out. The same convertor is currently charging a battery. When last attempted to use this cam corder to check tapes the edit search strip on top of the camera did not function. Apart from the obvious that it has had it's day does anyone have an idea how to bring this back to life for my film studies daughter? Many thanks, Gary

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: cannot playback hi8 ccd trv107e pal

Dirty video head! Playback newly opened blank tape for five minutes, after that eject, reinsert, playback then eject again five times, these will serve as your video head cleaner, never use "video head cleaning cassette tape" for it will only damage your camera. Most camera has built in video head cleaner installed inside and activates only when you insert, initial play/rec, and ejects a tape. If the problem is still there you need pro fix then.[:0)

SOURCE: sony hi8 ccd-trv208e pal camcorder

Same problem, same frustration. Just flashing, won't open to insert tape, Battery relatively new. Is there any way to get it to open to put in tape? I hate this technology, not along far enough.

SOURCE: Error code C:32:20

My best solution, is to pull all power sources form the camera for 24 hours. If this does not work, then take the small screws surrounding the Tape housing, in order to try and get the tape out. Best of luck dude ;)

Can CCD-TRV21 play PAL format?

This camcorder is an NTSC system-based camcorder. If you want to view the playback
picture on a TV, it must be an NTSC system based TV or a PAL M system-based TV
with an NTSC/PAL M transcoder.

Sony handycam and pc transfer

Hello,
Sony CCD-TRV218E is analog PAL camcorder and can not be hooked with PC directly.
Computer (PC) requires digital format files to store on HDD and your camcorder has no digital file format to directly transfer in to computer.

You can hook your camcorder with DVD recorder to burn a DVD. Now you have digital files on DVD and can be transferred in PC.

My Sony Handycam DCR-HC30E mini DV is not working

In many cases I found DC Jack defective in this model and resulted does not charge battery through ac charger nor power up directly with ac charger.
I would suggest to check ac charger and battery on similar model Sony camcorder and I think your camcorder has DC jack problem thats why camera is not getting power from ac charger.

Error code c:31:23

Sony is pretty secretive about the :23 code. It can't be found anywhere. However, to service the C:31 code, Sony recommends you do the following:

  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.
  4. Turn on the camcorder.
  5. If the error message appears, service may be required.

How can I transfer video onto a PC

Your camera is Analog model, can't connected directly with PC. You need to install some sort of "Analog-to-Digital video convertor card" in PC to digitize its audio-video output.
