Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

We have a Stanley 1/3 HP deluxe garage door opener that looks quite old. It's been working no problem, but then my husband said he pressed the wrong button on the opener and now it won't open at all. Any idea what could be the problem? Do I need a new one?

SOURCE: VGSC3054 oven door won't open

After frantically calling Viking hdqtrs and several repair shops for their advice and experience, it turned out that after my husband fiddled further with it, something got unstuck and it miraculously opened all the way again. Don't think we'll ever know what caused it in the first place , but it works now.

SOURCE: Husband removed oven door when fully open instead

Try removing and refitting it a few times otherwise you will probably have to get new door latching mechanisms. You may just be lucky that they have been dislodged but they are most likely to have been broken. The clicking is the door interlock mechanism trying to lock and unless it succeeds the oven will not work.

The remote opener in my far works, but the garage door opened on the wall of my garage will not open the door. What is wrong?

Perhaps the wall opener control needs to be accepted by the opener, press the button on the opener head unit and then press the wall switch. Consider new batteries before you do so.

If the wall button will operate the door up but none of the devices do then look at the wall button. Find the lock button and push it for 2 seconds and then try the remotes again. This is your vacation lock. You can get a manual at chamberlain.com. Now if the door does not open or close with the remotes you can reprogram them. Press the colored learn button on the motor head and then press the button on the remote. Repeat for each remote. If they fail to program you will need a new logic board. Thanks BB

My stanley deluxe garage door opener suddently stopped. It only makes tik tik sound. What do i do?

You may look at the safety sensors. Try holding the wall button down. If the door operates with the button held down then it is the sensors. Try to align them to look at each other. If not you are probably looking at either replacing the sensors or the logic board. Thanks BB

On the remotes put switch #1 in either position and match up switches 2 through 10 to the dipswitches on the motor unit. There is a good possibility your receiver has quit working.
