Hey Lleor,

At this time, Best Buy™ stores are not able to perform repairs or service on video game consoles or cartridges. In order to obtain service, you may wish to contact the publisher diectly. Many software publishers provide a 90-day warranty on the products they provide, but please keep in mind that Nintendo's warranty may vary.

If you are unsure how to reach Nintendo, you can always do so by either visiting their website or calling their toll-free customer support hotline.

No unless you guys replace the battery inside of the gamepack that allows you to save the
game data then. Or buy a new one, one or the other.

Is there anyway to recover data? I went to play it one day and it no longer has a continue only new game

No, the only way to stop this problem is to change the battery because it is dying or dead; this is causing the memory erases. What you need to do is take the cartridge and unscrew it and change the battery. Here is a guide to replace it: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-pokemon-goldsilve/ If you aren't good with soldering, I would recommend just buy a new Pokemon Crystal game.

    Gold won't save

The Silver/Gold/Crystal generation Pokemon Games all had cartridges that contained a built-in battery that runs theinternal clock, so that your game knows whether its day or night,Monday or Wednesday, etc. Anyway, I assume your battery has run out,and until replaced, the game will not save successfully.

This site give instructions on how to replace the battery: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-pokemon-goldsilve/

Or you could just buy the game again, I would guess they are about $10 these days.
    Great game by the way.

    Hope that helps.
