SOURCE: AQUALINK RS4 REPAIR

The controller board in the outside power center is going bad. Unfortunately Jandy only provides a one year warranty for these. You will have to have the board replaced. We can help you in finding a replacement board and can halp you in replacing it as well. www.hydrotechpool.com. Hope this helps. Jamie Maroney, Vice President, Hydrotech Pools, Inc.

SOURCE: my aqualink RS4 display is saying water sensor

The water sensor is just a thermometer. It is screwed into the pipe somewhere. It should be easy to spot as it is held on with a hose clamp. If the sensor is bad it will need to be replaced or you will not be able to use the heater. If you follow the wires all the way back to the control panel (up to where it screws into the board) you may find a break in it, which you will need to repair. The water sensor is just a resistor, so there is nothing special about the wiring - except it should be waterproof. If you cant find a break in it I would try to switch the air and water sensors. These should be connected on the control panel right next to each other, and are exactly the same. If this solves your problem then you have a bad sensor. With the bad sensor i would try to cut the wires about 3-4 inches from the probe and run new wire to see if there is a break in the wire that was not visible. Hope this helps.

Check to see if your nine volt battery is good. The aqualink will hold it's programs but lose time and date. At that point it goes back to factory set. You have to have a fresh battery to avoid this.

Jandy Aqualink rs4 when set on auto the system goes from filter to spa (the spa never having been programed).

Go through your menu again and reset. These have defaults that may be causing the trouble if the power went out or your battery backup is old. Check this and let me know and we can look further. Your menu should help to walk you through problems, it is very user friendly. Hope this helps, let me know.
