I've got an HP "DVD740" series DVD burner drive. It's one of the "Light-Scribe" ones that allow you to etch an image onto the face of special disks.
I put in any disk and it reads okay, but if I want to burn my pictures to CD-R there is no option on the left to "burn files". I have done this many times in the past and had no problem. If I right click and pick "send to" it is not on the list at all. I have tried to copy and paste also but get the error message "G:/ is not accessible. Incorrect function".
Well, I thought it might be a driver issue. I reinstalled that, but no luck.
I did burn something last night from Picasa but was wanting to save my picture files to CD and it does not work at all.
Thanks:

- Thanks for that idea. I did try it and was still a problem. I have been fighting this problem for a month now and my husband, finally hearing me rant on long enough, sat down, looks someplace I had not checked before, and found that the box in the properties allowing that drive to record was unchecked! How it got that way is beyond me, but Windows does things on its own a lot of times:) So, problem solved and everything is back to normal. Weird!
