Make sure that your drivers are installed for your ethernet adaptor weather it be wired or wireless.to check in win xp go to start/control panel/system/hardware then device manager and see if your network adaptor is there and if is green icon/normal or if it has a yellow ? on it.in vista and win 7 goto start/control panel/system/device manager and check network adaptors there different icon but the yellow ? still applies.hope this helps.
p.s if your drivers are not installed or are missing goto the motherboard manufactuers website and search and download and install.the msi site is www.msi.com.tw
