Instead, find the HP part-number on the charger, and search on eBay for that part-number, and buy an inexpensive replacement.
Much cheaper than paying a qualified technician for one hour of "labour" to try to trouble-shoot it.

I received this HP EliteBook 6930p in September of 2009 and up until September of this year, it was working just fine. Suddenly I had to start strategically placing my charger on inclines to get the laptop...

The battery is the problem. I've seen this plenty of time. If you can't find a replacement for your battery, you have another option. Before that try these to see if it can solve it.

- Replace the battery (make sure its the same model type)
- Check your cable, they make universal charging cables.
- Buy external HDD reader. Look into bestbuy for it, you can take out the HD from your laptop and read it on another laptop/computer.

Good luck

I am not getting any power to my laptop.

1. Laptop may be broken
Connector where power supply plugs in
2. Charger or cable may be broken (especially connector where it plugs into laptop)
3. Battery may be damaged (and may have damaged charger as well)

More details would be nice. :)

How do i fix my power cord for hp pavillian zd 8000 i need to re solder to the board

Just open the charger case (It might be void your warranty!) and re-solder it with a very good lead on your charger PC-Board, please doi it very carefully! If you think you cannot do this, just buy another laptop charger, better buy an "UNIVERSAL laptop charger" that come with several lead-jack and a variable output voltage. Remember, this part is very important, otherwise it will damage your laptop in a whole! GoodLuck!
