Question about Zebra P330i Thermal Card Printer

I am using a Javellin 330i card printer. It is giving me a persistent error of "out of ribbon" "Broken ribbon". I have bought and replaced ink from various suppliera and still get the error . What do I do?

Try !to send "!SA" command from the driver and print a test card.

I use zebra 330i with HP Thin Client PC, It works good, but use almost 6hours, zebra 330i can't print anymore. after turn off and on printer, change ribbon, I can use 50%. what are you think about?


i will need to know, how the printer is connected, USB or network?
did come any error at lcd panel?
is the printer on at all times or went offline?
please reinstall driver or install diferent driver ( seagullscientific.com).

please check the part number of the ribbon. seems the shipp from ribbon is faulty, try other ribbon.

My printer show the error 99 Ribbon Break/Jam but the ribbon is ok is not broken and i can not see some jam. Can you help me


Pls do the following:-

Ribbon Break/Jam
(PC Error Message No. 99, 108 and 109)

The Ribbon is not able to find the next panel correctly. Check for jams/breaks.

If jammed, clear the jam. If broken, repair by taping the Ribbon back on to the take-up core.
Press Resume to continue or Cancel to abort.

Datacard sp35 - cleaned it several times, First it will tell me the card is lost, we fish the card out, next it will tell me that the printer ribbon is broken. it is not broken, we have wasted so much...


Sounds like the rollers are going bad. From time to time the rollers on this device can definitely go bad. That's the reason you have to keep fishing for your cards. Try replacing the rollers on the device.
It may require some technical knowledge.

I'm having trouble with the Javelin J330i printer. When trying to print cards it doesn't pull them through correctly and then gives an error that the ribbon is broken. I have tried resetting the printer,...


check the feed tires ,the ones that feed the paper/cards into the printer. they maybe slick with paper dust. I recommend taking a cotton dish cloth or rag with some 409 cleaner on it the the feed tires clean all the paper dust off the tires let dry then try to feed card again. sound like the sensor is covered with paper dust, and is giving a false error.

ribbon cut again and again after put 2 or 3 cards pls give instruction how to solve the problem.

Error / Ribbon Jam/Broken


When you open and close the lid on this printer, it tries to realign the ribbon. If you are getting this error, I suggestion you Calibrate the print ribbon through the print driver printing preferences on the Calibrate tab.

Datacard SP35 + giving broken ribbon error


You have to clean the roller under the printerhead.
The big black one..

I suggest you install Diagnostics.

Go to motor test, and take the transport fast reverse. 300 sec.

Now you can clean the roller easy.

Broken ribbon message for my zebra card printer


It could mean that the ribbon sensor on the printer is broken. Sounds like you need to send back to zebra for repair. This is free if printer is still under warranty. check out zebra's website for info on how to return printers for service.
