Question about Computers & Internet
I have tried rebooting-another date-unstalling and reindstalling and stiill getting the same message. I contacted AVG 3 days ago and still no answer. Thank You Cynthia
This is how i fixed to problem i was having the same issue with the free avg 8.5 and 9.0 i downloaded the free 7.5 from brothersoft which is out dated but it will load and run with errors but you just keep updating it. after the second or thrid update avg will ask you to upgrade to the 8.5 and it will work fine. i just kept udating it until i had the 8.5 version most important you must delete the version you are having problems with before you download the outdated 7.5 version. if you keep the 8.5 and try to download the 7.5.

What is it doing? Is it giving you an error message?
Try going to trendmicro.com and running house call, and live.com and running the full service scan they are both free scans. If you have a virus it can keeo a antivirus product from installing unfortuantly a virus can keep the above scans from running.

Uninstalling and reinstalling normally works. Do you use a regcleaning program at all. would recommend you do as the good ones (Uniblue suite, Regcure, Regmechanic) clean up your registry and removes invalid reg files. So b4 reinstalling AVG try a recleaner first, then re-install. Also try googling your error number as you are not alone with this prob.
