Documents held in queue

Everytime I try to print a documnt it is held in a queue and not printing

    yes its online. I have a small printer icon appeared on the bottom line

I need to restart my computer everytime i want to print


Sounds like you have print jobs stuck in the print queue. Try deleting all documents in the queue and resending print job. Some print drivers choak on PDF documents. Try updating the print driver by download it from the manufacturer.

Try deleting printer then re-installing printer and updating the print driver.

Printer model: HP Laserjet M1522nf. When we give print it says printing but we could not get the print document


I assume you have no problems using your printer until today.
If that is true, then you may want to cancel all jobs in the
print queue first. The easiest way is to do the followings:

Open Notepad and type the following lines:
net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

Save it in your root directory as: C:\DeletePrintJobs.cmd
Create a shortcut for it and move it to your Desktop
Now everytime you have print job(s) that got stuck in the print queue,
go to your desktop and Double Click on the DeletePrintJobs.cmd
It will clear all pending print jobs in the print queue and allow you to
print new jobs again.

1. make sure to check if the hardware is able to make color copies, that way u can be sure there is no harware issue. 2. You can download and run an HP utility tool that can help you fix the problem instantly from this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&lang=en&softwareitem=mp-91788-1 3. If you still get the same issue, restart the computer and check the print queue. If there are no print jobs in the queue, you resolved the issue. 4. If print jobs remain in the queue, check the connection between the HP printer and the computer, make sure USB is properly seated if its a USB connection, otherwise if it's wireless, make sure both devices are connected to the network. 5.If issue still persists,make sure the printer is set to online. 6.Manually clear the print queue, restart the comp then try printing again. &. If #6 doesn't resolve the issue.Restart the print spooler by clicking on Control Panel, then double-click Administrative Tools .Double-click Services--In the list of Services , double-click Print Spooler . The Print Spooler Properties window opens, then click Stop to stop the Print Spooler. Click Start to restart the Print Spooler.Click OK and restart the computer.Try printing again. 8. Printing blocked by a document showing being deleted


Sounds like a stuck document is in the print queue. Try to clear the print queue first before sending another print job otherwise it will just accumulate in the queue. The steps below will help you clear the queue.

How large (how many pages) is the PDF document?
Try printing only the first page.
Then try only 5 pages at a time.

The queue is the disk area where the document (in print-out form) is held until the printer can service it (print it). This is known as "background printing".

Lexmark z31 printer will not stop printing


Disconnect printer cable from PC. Power off printer and unplug power cord from outlet. Wait 15 seconds. Press the power button as if to turn on with unit still unplugged. Plug back into outlet and turn on printer.

Before reconnecting to PC, check the printer's queue status. Start, Control Panel, Printers. Select the printer by double clicking to open queue status. Select any remaining documents and choose cancel from document menu bar.

Hi Hot,
It would be a BIG help if we knew the brand, model, and any little ole' bit of info you might feel like sharing. The commands and prompts that would be helpful for one item can totally screw up another.
