Check the tub bearings and coupler. This is the most common problem when it comes to the grinding noise. You can also try and spin the tub by hand and see if it spins easily. If it doesn't spin easily, that is a good sign of bad tub bearings.

2008 pathfinder goes well turn the motor of makes a grind/wherr noise told it is the altinator pulley how do i fix this

Replace the alternator. When the pulley shaft makes noise, the sealed bearing has failed. You cannot or would not take it apart to replace the bearing. You just replace the whole alternator.
To be certain, take off the belt and spin the pulley. If it makes noise or feels rough spinning, it is bad.

Dryer Repair Squeaks, Grinding, Clicking and Knocking Noise

Your dryer has started making noises. The common noises that can happen are squeaks, grinding, bumping, clicking, or knocking. I will give some of the common reasons why your clothes dryer could be making these noises.

Loud noise from your dryer often is the result of excessive wear of the parts inside of the clothing dryer.

Many dryers use a type of glides or slide for the drum of the dryer to ride on. As the dryer heats then up they wear away. The heat from the inside of the dryer and the friction heat will eventually wear them down. When the glide material is worn away the metal of the drum will start to rub against the metal support behind the glide. Metal on metal will make a very irritating squeaking noise, or grinding noise. If this happens, replace the glides.

Other dryers use a type of wheel or roller to support the rotating drum. These rollers turn on a sort of bearing that in often no more then a pin through a bushing. After a period of time the lubrication will dry up or otherwise go away and the assembly will quickly wear out and start to make a clicking noise, or a knocking noise, or even a grinding noise. In any case these often make a loud noise that can be very annoying. If you have a wheel or roller that is making noises then replace all of them, because the others are soon going to go bad also.

On some dryers there is a rear drum bearing. This center spindle supports the drum instead of rollers, wheels, or glides. This spindle will have a bearing assembly of some type that it spins on. This bearing also may start to squeak, grind, or make a loud noise.
If you have this type of dryer then you can replace this when it goes bad.

Another source of dryer noise is the belt. The belt often will make a different noise that will be more of a knocking or thumping noise. Pieces of the belt may come out of the belt and it still is not broken. As the gaps in the belt run over the idler pulley or the drive pulley the belt will make a thumping or knocking noise.

The idler pulley can also be a source of noise. This also has a bearing in it that will wear out. The noises made from this are similar to the rollers or wheels. If you have these kinds of noises coming from your dryer, you need to figure out what the exact cause of the problem is so that you know you are changing the right parts. Or you can just change all of the rotating parts to make sure that you get the problem fixed. The parts involved are not that expensive to replace.

Finally the blower wheel that moves air through your dryer can become clogged with dirt and lint or just plain wear out. If it is loose or out of balance it will make all kinds of funny noises. Cleaning it may help but replacement is probably the best fix. If it is still noisy after cleaning, then replace it.

This should give you a good overview of the possible causes for noise from your clothes dryer. As you can see there are numerous possibilities or causes for noise. Take your time and eliminate them one by one till the cause is found. Repairing them is not that hard and the parts are not that costly.

Spinning noise

I always try to help on the first reading of a problem, but we need to know if the car is moving or Parked or in gear. Make, Model, Year of car.

If moving, it could be brakes dragging, transmission problems, bearings. If Parked, power steering pump, water pump, Alternator, A/C compressor pulley or unit. Some apply to moving car too!

Sometimes idler pulleys on the belt, dirty belts wiil make spinning noise, but not grind.

My 2000 Ford focus was making a grinding noise when driving the power stering went out and I look under the hood and the belt was loose what do I do... O battery light is now on.

sounds like your belt broke. replace with a new belt. battery light is on because the belt is not spinning the alternator. If it busted you should be able to pull it right out. Make sure to check the tensioner pulley, alternator pulley, power steering pump pulley and ac compressor pulley for free play(if you can make it spin with your hand it's good) and make sure that they're not binding or making any grinding noises. If the belt has never been replaced, then most likely it gave out.

Dryer makes loud grinding noise when you cut it on

The dryers drum runs off a belt as you may know to spin it around to dry clothes. This belt is attached to a belt tensioner also to keep the belt snug. This tensioner has a roller with a bearing in the middle of it. Most bearings are made of brass and wear out causing it to grind
I would replace the belt & tensioner pulley as a unit. Sears will have these two parts selling together as a kit. Go online to view with your make and model number to see
