You will need to shut off you main drain. Main drain is a misnomer, it is better called a deep suction as is the Barracuda. They both pick up heavy dirt only the cleaner will go to the dirt. This makes the MD redundent. As an appendege it is not nessary. With suction going through both they will stick together. So with no need for a MD you should shut it off or better yet plug it with an expantion plug. I hope that explains your problem. Simple fix.

Dirt Devil Rampage Robotic Pool Vacuum wont climb side and stays in deep end all the time?

If a pool vac is not climbing the side of the pool this is one of several things main things . a blockage in the pipe (try inserting garden hose to flush it. or insufficient vacuum at the skimmer box (Test with your hand) or a break inside the unit - if the third, you probably need to take it in for repair.

I'm trying to drain a pool that's Ben sitting for years full of nasty water. Pump works and operates but the fill pot on the pump itself will not stay full

Sounds like you're trying to pull water from skimmer and main drain. Soon as the level goes down, it sucks air from skimmer. Turn off skimmer line. If that's not possible, then cut off input side of pump(front pipe) and run new line to pool. Just lay it on top of ground and keep it below top by a couple of feet. This will stop all the **** on the bottom from plugging up the pump.

My creepy crawly works for a little while then stops.I have 50kpa pressure at the filter

Check for debris or obstructions that could be lodged in the flapper of these pool cleaners. That could be restricting movement and causing the cleaner to stop cleaning. Check to make sure that it is not sticking on the main drain. If the main drain is not closed, missing a grate, or not flush with the pool bottom, it could be sticking. A pool pro would have to do some work to fix these problems (except for closing the main drain).

It gets stuck in the pool drain and wont move

If these pool cleaners are getting stuck on the main drain, it is probably an easy solution. First, make sure that your main drain in closed. Make sure the main drain grate is installed. If the main drain is not flush with the pool, you have an installation problem and you will need to consult with a pool builder about soultuions to fix it.

If it's an older Navigator and it just recently started to hang up on the drain cover, replace the throat assembly, part 29. The lugs or hold offs on the bottom of the assembly have worn down and are not breaking the suction as the Navigator travels over the top of the domed drain cover. Replaced mine and no longer have the "my navigator gets stuck on the main drain" problem.

The zodiac G4 pool cleaner has slowed down considerably and now gets stuck on the drain so i have to continually drag it off so it will circle the rest of the pool

Your Zodiac should ballence all suction with the skimmer and no suction should go through the main drain. A main drain is better called a deep suction to collect heavy dird and your cleaner is a roveing suction and replaces the drain. If both are on the two suctions pulling against each other will always stop the cleaner.

KK moves back to the filter box and stays there. I basically have to grab the hose and pull the KK up to the shallow end and then it heads back down to the deep end right where it is attached to the filter...

When you say filter box I want to think your talking about your main drain. If this is the case you just need to shut down the suction to your drain, it is redundant at this point and the suction between the two will make the Kreepy stick to the drain. Hope this helpds.

Vacuuming to Filter

All valves should be open or 'on', the multiport valve (on the filter) should be set on 'filter'.

What do you mean by drain valves though?
