when you say "resoldered the transistors" --- do you mean you soldered in NEW ones and replaced the old ones...or just redid the solder???

Problem is related to Invertor .If you are Technically able ,resolder power transistors 2sc5707 on powerboard near invertor transformers.
Please rate the solution and provide feedback.

I had the same problem. I found 4 transistors named "c5707", resoldered them all and the monitor works fine now. Thank you very much!

Monitor blue light comes on, the picture is on for a brief second but screen goes black, how do I fix this problem please.

I have had this problem before and had to contact the manufacturer. I was able to send them back and the manufacturer sent me a replacement. If your monitor is under warranty it should not cost you anything.

Benq FP222W The monitor switches on and shows the Benq logo, then screen goes black.Tested on 2 computers and still not working.

A bit late I know, but I have the same monitor with the same problem - see here . Problem with mine was one of the backlight assemblies had died. No mean feat to replace these. If you can do it yourself it'll probably cost around $50, otherwise it's for the scrapheap.

Power light on no screen shown

unplug from pc, turn on monitor. if there is a 'no signal' or any image displayed on the screen then the problem is not the monitor..

Monitor E172FP only fashes on then turns black.

its a bad solder/heat problem with the power board you need to repalce eaither the board or parts on the board the parts on the board are:

Q743 - FU9024N
Q741 - FU9024N
Q759 - 2SC5707
Q739 - 2SC5707

and part PF751 the black fuse - 3A 125V

i don't promise that this will fix it but its worth a shot

Power but no picture

Try to re-solder the inverter part of the board. You may recognize that part where the 4 connectors from the backlight tubes can be found.... usually the small transformators (sorry, my technical English is not good) have bad soldering eyes after longer use. This may work if backlight turns on for a few seconds, then the power led is still alight but screen goes dark.... the inverter then "thinks" one of the tubes might be defective and turns power off. Hope this helps a little...

Benq 17"Lcd monitor fault

Resolder the power transistors on inverter board and also check them.If display is not there at all some of this 4 transistors C5707 should be defective.Check associated fuse and Fet which drives the transistor.

Also check with Benq ,Normally offers three year warranty.
