How to Clear a Esn Number?
To clear an ESN number, firs you need to know the company in which the phone is serviced by then ask the ESN number. You should be able to find the number by removing the battery then ESn will guide you to know the correct number. You can call customer service to confirm.

1. • 1 Ask the owner of the phone you are interested in buying what phone company the phone is serviced by (the carrier).
     
   • 2 Ask the owner for the ESN number. He should be able to find the number by taking the battery out and looking inside the phone. A label inside will have a 32-digit number, an 11-digit decimal-based number or an 8-digit hexadecimal number. Usually the letters "ESN" will tip you off that you're looking at the right number.
     
   • 3 Call the carrier's customer service line and ask them if the ESN number is "clear," "clean" and "ready for activation." If yes, then the phone should be safe for you to purchase.

1. Pease look for cell phone packaging for the ESN, which is usually located on a sticker. It always starts with "DEC" followed by a string of numbers.

2. Turn off your cell phone band take out the battery from the back of it. Look for the ESN below the battery surface.

3. Replace the battery. If you have not found the ESN with step two, power on your phone and go to the "Settings" option. Click on "Phone Info" to see if the ESN is listed. Write down the number and store it somewhere safe.

4. Call the phone company that services the phone to find out if the ESN is clear for activation to your account.

ESN that sprint needs is the ESN DEC, it is an 18 digit number above a bar code under your battery directly on your phone. This is not to be confused with the HEX, which starts with an "A"

Hi dude just follow these steps and you shouild be able to change esn

You will need to register for "My Verizon" first, as this is where you will find the online ESN changer. Follow these instructions to do the ESN change yourself:

1. Log into your "My Verizon" account
2. Under the "My Services" section, click on the black GO link, next to the picture of your phone.
3. Click on the "Activate Phone" link on the right
4. Click on the " Activate Equipment" link on the right, under the "Existing or Replacement Equipment" section .
5. Click on "Reason for change" and select "Other", as the reason
6. Next you will need to enter the ESN/MEID number and hit submit.
7. After you have done this, wait 5-10 minutes and dial *228 (option #1) to program your phone.
8. Once you hear the "Your phone has been programed successfully" message, you can hit OK, or the end key.
9. You can make a test call by hitting #832, to confirm that your phone is working properly.

The ESN is the Electronic Serial Number for a phone,

ESN is generally used for CDMA by Verizon/Sprint to identify a particular phone.

It works like an identification number every time a call is made to notify what phone is making the call, and whether to allow the call (i.e. the phone is paid up, hasn't been reported stolen, etc).

Unfortunately I am not sure where you would find the ESN since I do not know what particular phone you are using which requires you to know its ESN.
