I have copier Nashua 8112 (similar Mita 1205) and need to replace toner and developer. What adjustments must be done after replacement?

If you need a manual for it try looking on line for older copiers. Since that unit was built back in the mid 80s.The other person that helped you on the toner is exactly right.

Why toner spills ?


when toner spills it could be that the seal between toner tray/harper/ hopper is not working properly, it could also be developer inside the drum that is worn down, if you page/print has a slight grey background then replace the developer, you will need a qualified technician for this as there is settings that need to be done after developer replacement

After changing to a non OEM toner, started printing light, then switched to OEM....still light...WTF!


DEPENDING ON WITCH MODEL THE DEVELOPER HAS AROUND 5 TO 6 % TONER IN IT, PROBABLY MEST UP THAT RATIO, NEED TO HAVE NEW DEVELOPER INSTALLED,SOME COPIERS HAVE IMAGE UNIT, OR DEVELOPER UNITS THE WHOLE UNIT HAS TO BE REPLACED, NO MATER WHAT KIND YOU HAVE, AFTER THERE REPLACED, ADJUSTMENTS NEED TO BE DONE

We have a Kyocera Mita KM 1510 and I am getting an error code C710 and the add toner light is on. I put in a new toner cartridge but the error message and the light are still on. Any suggestions?


C 710 is a Toner Sensor Problem

Defective toner sensor - Replace toner sensor

Poor contact of the toner sensor connector terminals - Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the connector cable. If none, repair or replace cable.

Developer problem - Replace developer.

I have got mita dc2360 and now it prints dark spots every where in the page. Im waiting for the solution.


If they are small random black spots it is most likely toner dropping. Toner dropping can be caused by a number of things but most of the time it is caused by old developer which needs to be replaced and should be done by a copier Tech. This modle machine also had a come problem with the drum cleaning unit backing up and causing damage to the process unit. IF this has happened it is most likely time to purchase a new copier.

Were does the developer go. Inside the Developer MOdule? in a certain place? Or does it get put into the toner container?


The developer is not a toner. It goes in the developer unit, it is installed by a service rep. You need to empty out the used developer & install the new bag of developer & rest the counter & set the developer up to add toner when needed. To make a long story on developer short > it is made up of iron filings & it holds the toner on the developer make roller to make a even coat of toner on your paper... Good Luck..... Just to let you know your copier is a Ricoh and it is a dul component copier

vacuum out yellow and cyan developers... if problem persists most likely have to replace developers

Copies are very dark; almost grey

Mita DC-1205 Copier


Open the front door... on the right is your toner. It is a cartridge that inserts long-ways (front to rear) into the machine, and should be white or ivory in color. DO NOT remove the old toner cartridge without having a replacement on hand. The new cartridge will have a plastic "cover" on it that assists in releasing the toner cartridge locking tab, and "seal" the old cartridge as you remove it from the copier. The cartridge opening is face down upon installation into the machine, and you may get some spillage if you remove it without the cover. DO NOT remove the new cartridges mylar seal until AFTER you install it in the machine!!! There should be a picture label inside the front cover showing how to replace the cartridge. And there is a pictorial diagram on each new toner cartridge box also detailing this.
Use only MITA DC 1205/1255/1415/1435/1455 toner, OEM #MTA37041013. Should run you about $12-$14 per cartridge retail, or cheaper if shopping around (I sell them for $11.99). Do not use copystar brand for the same equipment. Although it's the same toner, the shape of the cartridge is slightly altered, and may not "fit" into the machine. I forget how it goes, either Copystar will work in Mita, and not the other way around, or vice-versa. Either way, better safe than sorry.

Km-1510 .. AP error code


AP = Adding Powder (toner) it's not an error
it's adding toner from the container into the developer unit while displaying AP. when there is enough toner in the container the AP will disappear and copies can be made when there is not enough toner in the container the toner empty light will come on.
