Saeco Incanto Classic Espresso Machine Question

Our machine has stopped working and we are unable to remove the brew group. It appears lodged in the upper left hand corner and we are afraid to force it out. I saw you were able to offer help re: this machine on the FixYa web site and hoped you might have some thoughts on our problem, too.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Dear Dutchman05,
Thanks for your prompt response. We had tried both those is really stuck. Some flat piece from the brew group looks as if it's rotated downward on the upper left side preventing the dump box on the drip tray to be inserted back in place. Any other ideas? I've pulled pretty ******* it but am afraid I'll break something, or perhaps I already have.
    Thanks again.

Ok. Sometimes saeco has this problem and it can be a pain.
try unplugging it and plug it back in and turn it on with the door shut and all trays in position.
Sometimes it unlodges itself.
If this truely does not work :
remove dreg tray and push the brew group with the button (lever) pushed to the right inward. And now with the lever to the right still start wiggling while pulling outward. It can take a little but this should work. Don't be afraid to put a little force into it.

    Hi mommarazzi,

What happens sometimes is that the dreg scraper is lose when you put it in.

There is one thing you can try.

There are 2 sensors in the back wall. One where the door extrusion fits and one where the lip of the dreg tray goes in.

This is a 2 man job lol stick a thin either wood or metal piece in either slot. then turn power on. Lights will go of( the red) if inserted right. hope this will work to reset the brew group.

If this does not work force the dreg scraper back in place by pushing it toward the brew group to the right.

Sounds like the the shower screen under the red o-ring in the brew group needs to be cleaned, you can remove the screen and clean or you can purchase some espresso machine soap puro caff or puly caff, and run it through the brew group using the preground method the clean out coffee oils.

No coffee coming out of the machine!

First step, increase the grinder size. Note: only change grinder setting while the grinder is spinning. If that does not work, look into cleaning your brew group screens. The machine should have came with a key to remove the screen. If your machine as a preground option try making a preground coffee without inserting coffee to see if only water will come out. If water comes out then you know its your grinder. Usually too small of grinder sizes will stop water flow.
