Internal touch pad is the touch pad where you put your finger to roll over your cursor instead of using an external mouse. External touch pad is also called external mouse.

My typing keeps jumping around on my Dell vostro 2520 laptop, shut on internal pad but still jumps around with my Logitech mouse

Regular answer for this problem is to update BIOS / Touchpad drivers. Since you have already disabled the internal touch pad, can you also check if you have a track-stick that needs to be disabled. That should fix your problem!

My touch pad had stopped working but the button in touch pad is ok i can use it just the touch pad i can not click...is that i have mistakenly pressed somethiong which has lead to this problem to occur

First, you should check if there is a particular programm used by your touchpad.
If yes, check that the pad has not been deactivated. If not or if there is no particular programm, go to the control panel, in devices part and check that the pad is still activated.
If these solutions didn't change anything then it must be an internal issue in the computer. Try to contact your laptop helpdesk for further assisstance

Worked fine all of a sudden it is flashing and beeping F-7 ??? wont heat up

F7 Function key shorted or stuck button Clean and un-stick button or replace Touch Pad or Clock. So first try checking the touch pad buttons. If any of the button got internally stuck then its the cause of error.Release the button and see if that helps. But if all button looks ok then its faulty touch pad causing this error. It has to be replaced. ----------------- You can get required part from www.repairclinic.com ------------- Thanks.Helpmech.

Hi im raj i have samsung corbyf339 model.its not working touch pad.im in hyd.hyd in total . samsung serve centers no stock touch pad.come after 7week or 5days telling.so im faceing problem plz resolve

Hello,
Most cheap touchscreen phones has this issue, the touch screen dies after a year or so.You can
order the touch pad online from international websites but the shipping cost will be too high and
is not worth it.Your best option is to give it to wait for the touch pad to be available in the Samsung
service center and have it replaced by them.Do not give the phone to third party service centers as they
could fix a duplicate touch pad and it wont last even few months.

Try an external mouse. I have seen this happen many times, and it is usually the users hand brushing the integrated laptop mouse pad.
If the external mouse works and the problem is not there, then try again with the internal pad, and watch to see if your hands or fingers brush against it.

If it still happens even with the external mouse and you are sure you are not touching the pad accidentally, then you may want to contact manufacturer of computer, check for updated USB drivers as well.

Your internal mouse runs off USB, and there is a possibility there may be a glitch there that could be resolved with an update.

The mouse on my laptop doesn't work, but the external mouse plugged into the usb does. Any suggestions?

Touch Pad setup with the usb mouse installed for easy navagtion
check the device manager for mouse mouse and other devices
look for nthe touch pad label
look see if it is running ok and enabled.
Make sure it is.
Go to control panel open the mouse icon
touch pad mouse properties
Here is where the controles for external and internal mouse settings will be found.

there is a key combination that enables/disables the touch pad. it's the Fn key + the function key that shows a little mouse icon in blue at the top of your keyboard. on Fujitsu this would be Fn+F6 for instance. if this doesn't work, it is possible that the touch pad has been turned off in the BIOS setup. you will have to enter the BIOS and enable or automate the "internal pointing device"
