Your printer is not detecting your ink cartdrige to solve this. open the cover of your printer, the printer head should go to the center, after that take out the cartridge and put it in be sure to insert it properly. close the cover and see if your printer detects your cartrige.
Hope it works now

Ink cartridge not properly installed

I have gone through all the forums but none of them worked...

The correct solution for the problem is the canon printer needs to have both the color and black catridges present in the printer...
So even if you purchased new black catridge only you need to have the old color catridge to be placed in the place of color catridge....

So it will detect the catridges and if any of the one is empty it asks to select black at the time of printing and simply select it you will get a black print...

So make sure both the catridges either empty or full need to be placed to detect the catridges....

I hope it will be helpful.....

After E4 display, cartridges will not move over to the left.

E4 says no ink, press the OK button to continue, and replace the ink.

E5 problem

E5, says the ink cartridges are the wrong type, not properly installed, or not installed at all. You can't refill those without replacing the chip or resetting the chip. Many refilled cartridges just don't work...

Photocopier reads not install while installed during photocopyin

Epson and many other manufacturers are Chipping the Ink cartridges, they sell more ink that way. Many cheap generics either are not chipped properly or are just faulty, I even got a faulty cartridge from Epson. I got myself a CISS system with a Waste Ink Container. I have since saved TONS of money and will never change another cartridge. Here's where to get the best CISS available.
http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/ BTW, I do a lot less cleaning cycles since using their ink.

I have recently installed new catridge, but the printer is doing faded printing

Check the use by date on the ink retail box (not the cartridges), the ink might be past its best used before date.
Also make sure that the ink cartridges are sited firmly, if they aren't sited properly then the ink wont flow properly.

Error on my printer - Ink Cartridge not properly installed ...

well, for starters you did install the cartridges correctly. Try turning off the printer then reboot the system, then turn on the printer again. if that doesn't work you should consider buying a new ink cartridge chances are most printer models may not accept refilled ink cartridges.

Hope this helps:)
