SOURCE: motherboard problem

Go to bios settings (Press F2 or Delete or as shown there to enter the Bios settings), and locate the "Floppy Seek Boot" and disable it. This will fix your problem. I can't give you specific answer since I am not much familiar with Biostar. But i hope at least this helps. good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a Dell 2400 Desktop that all of a sudden won't access the login screen. It powers on then the hard drive makes noise with the green lights blinking but it then says press F1 to continue but

First thing, check to see if the is a floppy disk in the floppy drive, if so removes this disk. If there was no disk in the floppy drive then it may be a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the data cable on the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard disk controller.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.

To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

Hi, When I try to start my Dimemsion 5150C in Windows XP computer, I received one of the following error messages "Floppy diskette seek failure Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup...

The "floppy" disk-drive (3.5-inch diskette) on your computer is broken.
Press F1 to ignore the error, and to boot from your C: drive.
Or, press F2 to enter BIOS SETUP, and then navigate through those "setup" screens to tell the computer to "disable floppy seek", or change the setting from "3.5 1.44Mb drive" to "none".
Or, take the computer to a technician, and buy a replacement disk-drive, and get it installed.

Hi! my computer doesn't start normally it goes back to the same error every time. Errors: Floppy diskette seek failure Drive 3 not found: Parallel ATA,PATA-1 (PRI IDE Slave) Strike the F1 key to continue,...

Press F2 to enter the Bios, on the first screen navigate to the floppy A: drive select disable and the error should go away.

From the sounds of it your Floppy drive is damaged or just bad. you can take it for repair or purchase a new one fairly cheap and replace it yourself. But just disabling it should do the trick since floppy's are pretty much obsolete.

the recovery Disk wont help you unless its an error you get in windows itself btw.. (unless its a OS start problem which this doesn't seem to be)

Sounds like you have a bad/disconnected Hard Drive and the system is looking for a second boot device (ie: Floppy with a disk) or your primary IDE channel on your motherboard is bad
