Not usually does a power outage affect a remote in operating a TV...but there are always reasons. I suggust re-programming the remote. To do this, simply go to your remote's brand name website. Example: www.Your remote's brand name here.com,then go to "programable codes". Jot down the codes which apply to your television(will be several at the least). Next, go to "programming instructions"...If able, print these out (or write down for quick reference). You WILL need these in front of you while programming your remote to your TV, ensuring you are completing every given step. This should help you...suffice to say you'll be controlling that TV in no time! Thank you for allowing me to be of assistance.
