well...is that due to it being caught between the drum and the case?

this is without a doubt one of the more interesting questions I've seen..

Place the bra in a pillow case.

I know this helped with four daughters behind me and out on their own.

Oh, you might need to make that two older pillow cases until you find the comfort level and just keep them in the laundry room.

I'm not sure we have enough information yet, but I do believe that the bra would be more comfortable in its relaxed state.

How to remove a bra wire from behind drum in tumble dryer

Somehow they always end up in some inaccessible spot. Go to www.repairclinic.com and enter the model of your dryer. You will be presented with a list of common replacement parts and may be able to view a generic video showing disassembly for bra wire retrieval. Good luck.

Hearing a scraping noise (metal against metal) in dryer- how do I remove the door

it is also possible that a metal support bar from a woman's bra found its way between the drum and the panel, just reach with your hand or with a hooked coat hanger and turn around the seal of the drum,

Clunking banging noise

It may be something stuck in the drum, ie a bra wire, which would have extra weight on it whilst the clothes are wet. If this is the case, it will need looking at sooner, rather than later, as it will just be causing further internal damage

Problem with bra wire

a common problem, the wire usualy catches on the heater assembly and wraps around it, shine a torch into the bottom of the drum through the holes and you should be able to see it,if so remove the heater to remove the wire. the only other place it could be is in the sump hose so remove that to remove the wire,i must do six or seven of these a week

Drum wont turn

sounds to me like the belt may have fallen off the back of the drum.
look under the lid and see. if a wd, should be simple enoughto put it back on by removing the back cover to refit.
turn the power off though.

I have a hotpoint aquarius 1100 washer dryer wd51 was making a grinding noise we turned it off and a under wire from a bra was sticking through a hole in the drum pulled it out and it is complete but now...

The bra wire bears no relation to your present problem.
Remove top cover, screws at rear, and push top cover back.
See if the belt is still on, if it is, then select final spin and see if the motor and drum go round, if it does not, then the brushes in the motor probably need replacing.
Unplug washer, and disconnect the motor. you will find the brushes at the motor plug end, depress plastic lugs, and slide brushes out, if they are less than 5mm long, then replace them

If it is the belt that has come off, you will have to remove the rear panel to refit it.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Kenmore dryer

kutter1:

With the little bit of information you have given I would assume you have something stuck in one of the baffels ,((or possibly the most common is a Bra wire in one of the drum seals on the drum))

or a more in depth problem would be something in blower wheel (like the old playing card in the spoke of a bicycle)) when we where much younger.
