Hi Good day!! No signal of your monitor means:
1. vga cable is not properly connected each both end or maybe it is damage.
2. if your using a video card (AGP,PCI-E) maybe the slot of your video card have dusts that's why your video card is not sending any display to your monitor.

to solve this:
1. pull out the vga port and re-plug both ends..
2. if your using video card remove your video card and clean your video card slot by using a brush. after then put it back be sure to lock your video card.
hope it works now!!

1. You could have a faulty video graphic card on the mother board.
2. Your display or LCD screen has a bad power supply adapter or not get

power at all.
3.Your display has a bad inverter board and needs service. I cannot tell

not being able t o see the devices physically.
4. A computer tech can determine this with a few simple isolation test such

as disabling the video card and using a know good one in the pci or AGP

slot and connecting the monitor to it.
check the video cable to see if it is seated properly. check for bent/broken

pins on the video cable.
5. the video card is sometimes built in to the mother board and may have

lost the drivers. Do a driver update and or reinstall the video drivers for

the video card.
6. check the monitor/ connect it to a another pc to see if you have a screen
/ if so then the video card may have lost drivers or may have stop working
7. check the "device manager for this:
instruction set here>>>

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307970
Windows 7:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-SG/windows7/Open-Device-Manager

I hope this helps. Have a good day.

Random "No Signal"

This can happen if your monitor's refresh rate is too high, try lowering the refresh rate, and or the resolution. Also disable the screen saver, as this too can have unwanted results. Further also make sure you have the most up-to-date Video Driver, for your setup too.

When i turn on my screen it says no signal and turns off

Either the "data" cable between your screen and your desktop is defective, or that cable is not connected to your screen, or that cable is not connected to your desktop, or the video-card inside the computer is defective.

Check the connections.

Temporarily connect the screen to a different laptop/desktop computer, to see if the screen still works.

Acer flat screen monitor, attached to laptop. Turns on and says 'no signal' occassionally works though for a short period. Works when connected to other laptops.

If this monitor works when connected to other laptops, the problem is likely to be your laptop, not the monitor. I would suspect that there are bad comnections at the video connector of the laptop.
