Re: Dropping Frames & No Sound
Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Clickon Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the dropdown and select Camera Microphone. Click OK and it should work. Hope this helps. Bud

Cause you did not specified your problem exactly ..I will refer about video capturing in general using the web camera and a laptop ..No matter if the camera is built in or external the procedure is the same...Open the AMcap..program in start menu / all program s..This is the program usually present when you install a web cam driver..and when you open it the camera will open a window for capturing ..If it shows nothing use the setings to enable video and audio and also the preview... This will make you an idea about the quality ..After that all you have to do is open the capture using the start capture function in options or so ..and stop them ...when you stop ..usually it asks to save the file in a location ...You may also be asked when you start to assign a size for the file .. There is a better way to make a capture and this is using a capture program ..and I will recommend the windows movie maker...Itis present in all windows..and has a capture from device feature..and you have the editor advantage with i t..and the fact that will capture from other devices than web cam alone .too..so you can increase the quality as well .. Please ask if you have any future question s.. Your responses are intended to improve the level of service provided. Please show your appreciation by rating your experience. Thank You.
Hello , rozkr This means the video quality settings are to high for your machine . Reduce quality . Issue should be solved but image will be less sharp . Best results for capturing video movies or tv programs are obtained with a stand alone DVD or Blu Ray recorder . Regards , fanaudi
Hello bazmaz You need a very powerfull computer to capture and edit video , at least a Pentium 4 at 3GHz , 2 GB RAM . You will still probably loose frames in High Quality mode , meaning a recent Intel 7 series will give the best results . I have myself experienced that the best results are obtained with a stand alone DVD recorder , preferably with a HD included . This is really the best way . Regards, fanaudi
Some of the cheaper web cams are only capturing 15 frames per second (FPS) or less, whereas better web cams can capture 30 FPS and a larger picture too.Visit the website of the manufacturer of your webcam and see the details of that camera. It's possible you can increase the speed some through your camera settings. Look for your camera's icon in your Control Panel or in your Device Manager section and check your settings.just needed to change fps and the back lighting. <3
