Bought the saw used with a new bar and bar it won't oil

*Make sure there is oil in the oil tank
1. remove the bar and chain and run the saw with them off. Oil should be pumped out the oil vein on the side of the saw.

If there is no oil being pumped out then you have 1 of 3 issues.
a) A blocked oil pipe or gauze filter in the tank.
b) A blocked or broken oil pump.
c) A broken or damaged oil worm/drive gear

2. If oil is coming out the oil vein then check that you have the correct bar for the saw and that the oil hole lines up with the oil vein. Also check that the bar groove is clear of dirt and debris allowing oil to travel along the bar.

Find where the oil lines go on a titan 50 chain saw

Being around chainsaws for 40 years I can make an educated guess.. I believe this is a manual oiled saw where your thumb provided the oil as it was pumped from the reservoir to the bar. Again an educated guess says that the thumb pump, pressurized the reservoir. Newer models had gear driven but still with the thumb assist oil pump.

After just 15 minutes of use you had 2 side effects from use of this saw, tingling hands and a ringing in your ears. I'll be with a friend tomorrow that had one, if I can correct or add to this I will.
Good luck

Baumr chainsaw leaks bar oil

Often times the oil reservoir develops cracks. The oil then leaks out. This is especially true if the saw is used in winter and the oil pressure knob is pressed continuously. The pressure knob pushes against the cold britle oil reservoir and cracks it. The oil then leaks out. Get the manual and order a new oil reservoir and install it yourself.

My Poulan Pro chain saw (model # PP4620 AVHD) doesot move B&C oil from the oil reservoir to the chain. How can I repair this?

If the ports where the oil comes out aren't clogged, you will have to order a oil pump and then take apart the saw from right underneath the bar. The oil pump is run by a worm gear that strips easily.

Use regular bar/chain oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Don't run things like used motor oil or similar which tend to plug the tank filter. Good luck!

Poulan Pro Chain Saw Bar Chain Oiler Stopped Flowing

The filter can usually be caught with a hooked wire and drawn up far enough to deal with the filter. Oil filters are not prone to plugging unless the oil used is contaminated. If you run the engine without the bar and chain attached, oil should ooze out of the engine side port. If nothing, suspect problems with the oil pump. Some saws use a plastic gear in the pump and can strip the teeth of the gear. You should find it located behind the clutch assembly. Once you have oil flowing from the engine, clean the bar drive-end oil ports that go from the large holes out to the chain groove on each side. Finally, run the bar tip near some cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil. I have no idea what the plastic tube might be (a manual pumper perhaps?). Hope this helps!

What kind of oil do I use in the oil reservoir of my chain saw?

I believe the reservoir you are talking about is for the bar chain oil. You can get it most anywhere. As for mixing the gas and oil mixture, you will need 2 cycle oil. It is available most everywhere also. Most modern chain saws use a 50:1 mixing ratio which means 2 1/2 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. Hope this helps.
