Kenmore model 970-506021 no power to burners or oven but display works

Did you reset the house circuit breaker to the oven. If the stove is only getting 120 volts instead of 240 the display will light but no heat. A remote possiblity could be a burned wire at the power connector where the main powewr comes in to the stove of a bad comnnection in the junction box.

F10 code on a Kenmore self-clean range model #970-6061

Your Kenmore oven has a built-in fault detector. When the oven detects an issue, the display screen on the control panel will flash a fault code. The F10 fault code on your Kenmore oven indicates that the thermal protector on your oven's control unit, or microcontroller (MCU), has overheated. If the MCU overheats, the computer stops all motor functions. Several items on your oven could cause the thermal protector to overheat. Therefore, you must troubleshoot the F10 code to determine why it appeared on your display panel. Instructions 1 Inspect the area around and behind the oven to ensure you did not place the oven next to a source of heat, such as a register vent or other appliance that becomes very hot. If this is the case, you must remove the oven from the heat source to prevent the issue from occurring again. 2 Inspect the oven to ensure all vents on the oven are open and unblocked. This includes heat vents that vent to the outside of the home. Remove any clogs from the oven's venting and check to see if the code reappears. 3 Inspect all of the wiring harnesses that connect to the MCU. Remove the back cover from the control panel with a screwdriver. Look for disconnected harnesses or any harnesses with black residue on them. This indicates an issue with the MCU. Remove the bolts that secure the MCU to the control panel housing and then replace the MCU with a new one. Reconnect all of the harnesses and retest.

Kenmore Elite Gas range, model # 790.79363401 The range works but the oven does not seem to heat up. It appears to ignite, just not get hot.

Hello,

the problem should be from the heating element of your Kenmore Elite Gas range. The heating element is either defective or may have loosed contact as a result of heat coming out of the Oven. The heat coming from the oven may have melted the wire connected to the heating element which might not make it heat up.

Disassemble the oven and check if its actually the wire connected to heating element that got melted, or its time to replace the heating element.

Good luck.

My kenmore model 970(frigidaire) electric range displays F10 fault when i use the oven shutting down the oven and beeping. Help me please

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F10 error indicates that the Electronic Range control (ERC) has gone bad and should be replaced. However, before replacing it you can take the screws out and then blow some air with the help of hair dryer so that if there is any moisture it blows it off. If still the issue is not resolved then replaced the ERC. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

My Kenmore gas stove has a light constant smell of gas coming from the oven. The oven also does not heat any longer. Burners work fine. Model 970

There is a problem with the regulator or the thermal bulb you need to call a repairman in to replace it, if you have a gas smell it is allowing the piolet light to have gas comming out and not lighting this is DANGROUS do not put it off get it looked at right away. This can kill you.
