Question about Yamaha RX-V440 Receiver

1 Answer

My Yamaha RX-V440 home audio receiver will turn on for about 3 seconds then immediately power off. Could this be the main power relay? If so, can you tell me where I can purchase a replacement relay and how to install the new relay.

Hello: I have a Yamaha RX-V863 Receiver for 3 years. I try to on my receiver, but he start on, only for 2 or 3 second and then turning off immediately. I verify the wall outlet and the power in my house...

There is a load on the system, turn receiver off, disconnect speaker wires from the back, power on and turn volume right down. If the system stays on it means there is a short in the wires or one or more of the speakers. But if turns off with"wires and speakers diconnected" there is a short in one or more of the audio output ic's in the receiver and will need a professional to find out the extent of the problem.

Yamaha Receiver RX-V630 not working (resets itself immediately)

This maybe an easy one. Have you unhooked all the wires going in to the stereo. "SP wires" means you have wires to the speakers are touching and the stereo is shutting down to avoid overloading. Hope this helps...
