Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

1 Answer

My reply I did not think you were trying to second guess the issue. I wanted another opinion. Do you know if this sounds right and is it a very common problem? Thanks

I understand. This can be a common problem, especially if you have hard water or well water. Basically any water source that calcifies or has sediment. If this is the case, many home owners will install a whole house water filter on the washer line to prevent this from reoccurring. If this is not the case with your water, I would assume this was just one of those failures that could be attributed to normal wear and tear. Good luck to you and keep me in mind if you need further assistance.

How do I get my Dyson to stay in upright position. It will not lock into place.

Which model of Dyson do you have. I am going to guess it may be a DC25. It is a common problem with that model. Let me know and we will see if we can help you.

2007 ford passenger door not locking

It would be my best guess that the lock solenoid has gone bad or the wire leading to it has come loose. It Involves taking the door panel off and getting to the locking mechanism for the door lock. If you are not experienced in doing this type repair, then I would take it to someone who can do the job right the first time. I hope I have been of some assistance in this issue. Good Luck

LG Flatron W2253v backlight blinking.

The powering off and on the back light is due to bad capacitors. Go ahead and explore the internal power supply. This is a very common issue on LCD I have fixed about 8 of these ranging from 1 yr of use to 9 yrs of use. I own 4 LCDs and have fixed 3 of them. 2-X2Gen, 1 Samsung and one Viewsonic. The latter one is running with out an issue and the one I use the most.
Once you open your lcd look for plunged capacitors. Replace as necessary. The fix should cost you less than 20 bucks
Check this pics for power supply removal, bad caps and new caps.
Well, pictures are over 4mb let me know if you are interested in seeing more pictures relating to this fix.

My refrigerator is about 5 years old and it has been refilled 3 times by an expert serviceman from godrej. It works only for about a month after each refill, then slowly stops cooling. I want to know what...

Hi,
As a servicer, I could not refill you unit in this state, rather would need to find the leak and repair it. It sounds like you have a sealed system leak if this depletes in a month. You should have the systems checked for leaks rather then just having it filled. If I filled your unit knowing it leaks its a Big fine for me, I would need to have an action of repair to fill your unit to hold you unit parts are available to repair correctly. You made want to get a second opinion on this problem. Think of a seal system like a can of soda, the system is fine if completely sealed.
The EPA does not allow a certified person to charge if knowing a leak is present or if the unit looses more the 5 percent charge in a 12 month period. So if your unit hold 6oz. it can only loose .03 of an ounce.
I would seek a second opinion to solve this issue.

I have a 2003 road king. I have a transmissiion growling noise when the bike is in neutral that winds down and stops when i pull in the clutch lever. Any advice on where to start?

Since the noise "winds down and stops" when you pull you pull in the clutch lever, this tells me that the problem is indeed inside the transmission. To try to guess exactly what the problem is is very difficult or impossible. I've torn down transmissions that were making a noise and repaired them without ever determining exactly what was causing the problem. If I had to take a guess, I'd probably put my money on the trapdoor bearings on the right side of the tranny. But, if I were going to repair the tranny, I'd replace every bearing in the unit and I'd inspect every other piece in it. Rebuilding a transmission is to large of a job to take shortcuts. You need to take the bike to a someone with known ability and get their opinion of what the problem is. A transmission rebuild is an expensive job unless you have the proper tools and experience to do it yourself. Still it ain't cheap.

Now, this may not be what you want to hear but in my opinion, it's the way I'd go. Just like going to a doctor, always get a second opinion when you think it's something big. Especially since I cannot hear the noise. I'm basically guessing here. Good Luck.
