It sounds like your magnet has shifted. In a lot of cases this has ended your speakers life. However we have fixed them before if they"re worth it.The entire speaker assembly has to be removed. Magnet assembly reshimmed and re-epoxyed and the reconed. Not recomended for the layman. We charge 100.00 for the job

I believe the power problem is related to the Remote wire which should be blue or yellow. The remote wire is suppose the turn the Basslink on and off when the radio is turned on and off. The yellow wire is normally used for power antenna. Traditionally the remote wire is blue.
You can use a Speaker level adapter and splice in with the L/R rear speaker wires, and the adapter will convert the speaker level to line level. The output of the adapter will go to the Rear speaker input on the basslink., Write back if you need more detail on the adapter.
First off try a different source that you know works that you can control the volume of. (ipod) This will tell you if the amp works. If it still doesn't work try a different speaker that you know works, any speaker will do, just keep the volume down. Second see if running a new set of RCA's helps maybe something got pinched if it still is not working then your head unit line out is bad, try a different output and see.
For all car cd players their is connector back side of the cd. having bunch of wires, in that if you connect squencily , the colour code of the wires are as follows
1. black for earth
2. red for acc, that you have to connect through ignition key +12volts
3. yellow, +B for continous supply that is battery
4. white and white with black stripp for front speskers
5. greay , greay black for front speaker
6. voilet ,voilet black for rear speaker
7. green, green black for rear speaker.
8 blue, for system remote .
if your yellow wire of +b is wrogly connected then memory problems comes
The infinity system is unique in that the amplifier for each speaker is built right onto the speaker. You will need to bypass it by looking at the wire colors as they go into the JVC stereo, then finding them at the speaker. My suggestion is to just put 2 new speaker wires in and wire the speakers directly to the radio. You will have to routhe them through the dashboard but it's pretty simple to do. BTW, i know that vehicle well as I used to own one and customized the whole van.
