Question about R.M.S. DVD Micro Theatre plays DVD DivX Picture CD 30W RMS 1x50W sub System
During these cases, the problem could only be caused by two instances:
If this happens to only selected discs,
1. The disc you are using has started to have more scratch on the surface causing some portions of it to be unreadable. That is why sometimes it plays and sometimes it stops. Try to clean the disc; using a soft sponge, dip it in a water mixed with a very small amount of dishwashing liquid. Then gently wipe the disc's top and bottom surface in a circular motion. Rinse well and wipe it dry. Now try to play them again if it makes a difference.
If the freezing happens to almost all of your discs, then the reason would be:
2. The lens of your player had acquired dust build-up and thus could hardly read the data on the discs. Try running a disc cleaner and let it spin on the player for like 30 seconds to one minute. Then try playing those discs again. If it still gives the same problem, then you might need to clean the lens inside the player manually. You need to dismantle the player remove the screws until you see the lens. Get a swab or a qtip and damp it in an alcohol. Gently wipe the lens in a circular motion and let it dry. Return everything back and try to play the discs again.
