Check the sound properties in the control panel--have you accidentally muted the speakers?
Do you have the sound turned down (using the Fn keys on the keyboard?)

The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Problems with Dell Inspiron 6000 Battery ? DELL Inspiron 6000 laptop battery is popular, why ?

You can also pick up the batteries less expensive than most computer places at batteries plus. And yes it sounds as though it is the batteries charge is getting low, especially if it runs fine when the battery is out and you have it plugged in.
