Hello Asotski, hi I can tell you where the problem is, but to solve the problem this needs an expert hand to fix it. No picture, no illumination of the screen This is caused by the failure of the inverter circuit board that powers the back light lamp. Or the lamp itself, but most likely its the inverter board, so have this checked by a service person. You can do the work, IF you are a techie type of person. but my advice is have this checked by your dealer. they have contacts from the manufacturer to do service and parts replacement.

My DSC W90 is 4 years old -- I love it -- and I've never had problem -- with it until now. It rotates pictures on its own! When I view the pix that I've JUST taken, they look fine. When I turn...

Hello,

If you have an exceptional amount of pictures on your camera...This could be a simple problem solver? You need to remove some or all your of your pictures from your camera to create more memory and storage.

You have a couple of options

Save all your pictures to memory card, from the memory card save to your computer in a file or to a USB Flash Drive (Cruzer), or on a CD/DVD disk.

Or, install a new Memory card that has more Storage Capabilities.

You need to check your setting as to how the pictures are viewed and stored, it's possible you have your camera set to auto rotate and also auto set format...change these settings to manual!

Kind regards!

All of a sudden, my MacBook says "cannot recognize format" of some of my Nikon Coolpix L18 pix and won't download my last 10 pix, nor any more that I take. It downloaded the previous 20 pix...

Sounds like the memory card in the camera has gone bad, or the camera has glitched. Try replacing the card. If it still does it, the cam has issues.

Start with the Disney people. They certainly should be able to help you.

Also, Amazon.com seems to sell that camera, and may be another source for the cord.

Good luck!

Toshiba 50HP66 Plasma TV

Found that video 1 and video 2 switching does not work. The switching IC was HOT!. Then found a third video input works but no sound. Hooked -up sound output of DVD player to amplified loudspkr and it works, I hate to throw away a 2 year-old plasma TV when TV and cable still works.
Thanks for the offer anyway.
