Question about Craftsman 42 in. Deck 19.5hp Lawn Tractor
If you bought it new, then you most likely need to get a new seat switch. Sears carries parts for just about everything back to when they were selling dinosaur shoes. You can check the switch with a simple ohmmeter. Weight on seat closed or open and weight off seat the other condition. If the switch works and is wired in, then you need to chase the wiring down to the central relay where all the safety switches connect. If you bought it used a prior owner could have defeated the switch as an annoyance.
