Question about Panasonic Phones

1 Answer

I have a panasonic phone model number KX-TG6022B and wheather the phone is on the base or not, it says line in use. The line isn't in use though. I've tried unplugging both phones from the base and wait, but that does work and when i do that it says not linked to base. It shouldnt be because I am trying to restart it or just make it not say line in use. Please help.!!!!

Sounds simple
3 things to look at

lets start with obvious i hope you have manual for phone still cause typen instructions for deregistering phone is long type
the reason phone could be showing its still in use is because phone needs to be deregistered and then reregistered back on the hand set base

the other thing is one of your neighbors has tapped your phone line giving you this busy signal

or say you still using dial up on your comp this will show a busy signal cause its using your phone line to get online

Record message on panasonic phone

The KX-TGA101S is just the handset. The message is handled by whatever base or answering machine you have on your phone line. Please refer to the manual for the base/answering machine.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the model of your base or answering machine.

I cannot get my Panasonic base KX-TG5583 to register 8th handsets - only seven

It has to do with the electrical load that each ringer imposes on the line. Each set has a limit on how many handsets you can register with it. If you look on the bottom of the base you will see on the identification plate a data item called Ringer Equivalence Number or REN.

In telecommunication, a ringer equivalence number (REN) is a somewhat arbitrary number which denotes the electrical load a telephone ringer has on the line.

How do you turn off the base ringer?

You don't have to unplug anything. Just set the ringer volume (feature code 11) to 0.
Full details are on page 27 of the manual.

Instruction manual for KX-TGA931T cordless 4 phone set

To get the operating instructions for your phone, you need to also know the model number of the base, not just the handset. Look under the base for the number, then go to this site...

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Phones-Fax/Telephones/DECT-6-0-Phones/model.KX-TGA931T?Ns=&NttRaw=KX-TGA931T&Nr=12001&Ntt=KX-TGA931T&No=0&URL=vSupportSearch&N=779832097&Ntk=SupportSearch&Ne=&y=24&x=17&cmTag=true&cm_sp=SiteSearch-_-SupportSearch-_-SupportHome&jspStoreDir=panasonicdirect&catalogId=11017&edb=com.panasonic.commerce.search.beans.PNAEndecaDataBean%405ea56c09&storeId=15001

Once you are there, go to the tab "knowledge base" and type in "manual". Selecting the option to look up operating instructions will allow you to select the phone base that is compatible with your phone.

Or go here and see if any of these phones are the same/within the same series of phones as yours...

Kx-tg1100 registration to anoter base

sorry, it seems that they have to come from the same model base. however, the procedure to reset handset numbers for the 1100 may work for you. there is a 15 digit number on the base unit. try to type that into the 1100 and see if that will register the 1100 to your old base.
